What Alex Smith was the only QB you wouldve drafted? Charlie Frye was available in the 2nd. Even though he went in the 3rd he wouldve been a fine pick with our 2. I think he'll be better than Smith. You couldve taken shots in later rounds with Orton or Greene

If Feeley was a "nobody" the Dolphins would have drafted a QB. Clearly, he showed enough that the decision to draft a QB was put off one year to see what he could do. The time to make statements about Feeley is after the final preseason game. Then at least we will know whether he progressed or plateaued

You're right they drafted for bigger need areas. But that's because they had a capable backup for Feeley if he doesnt progress like they expect

I would have drafted Smith over RB. I wouldn't have drafted Rogers unless I had a pick after the top 10 or so. I felt Frye and Greene were over rated and didn't want either one at all. Orton I would have considered late (5th rd or so). None of these QBs is anywhere near Smith's class. In fact, after Rogers i have my doubts that any of these guys will ever be NFL starters. I see them as big gambles almost bad enough that I'd be wasting a pick. I'd rather have a player that I think will actually contribute.
