    Things are getting interesting.

Nate Solder gone. Amendola gone. Dion Lewis gone, Gronk still talking retirement. Edelman coming back from a torn ACL. Malcolm Butler gone.

I mean...I know he's immortal and all, but at some point you have to think...if his LT is leaving, his primary weapon is thinking about retiring, his safety blanket just signed with us, his RB is gone, and his best WR from 2016 is coming back from an ACL...he must be looking around him, going "****."

I'm with everyone else when in the fact I'll believe it when I see it. But you are right. This has to be the most star players that have left the Patriots in one season. I could be wrong but it sure seems like rats fleeing a sinking ship.

Because it's the Pats. They trick other teams. Into handing over picks and players for fools gold.

He doesn't look like fools gold so far.

Brady will be the Pats QB for the remainder of our lifetimes. If we're lucky, maybe our children's children will live in a world where the Pats don't win the division every year.

The Dynasty is over. Once they fail to reach another Super Bowl Brady will start to consider calling it quits. Probably will be gone by 2020. Belichick may follow him into retirement or move on to a different team.

Just imagine if they kept garopolo? Most likely almost 25 plus years of having qb as a non issue to worry about

There is definitely turmoil in pats land right now.

And I wouldn't count my chickens about Jimmy G just yet. If you actually look at how he played in SF last year, and not just at the teams wins, you'd see a very average QB.

And now Brandin Cooks traded to the Rams. The Pats era is coming to an end in the next couple of seasons.

    Let's capitalize.

Nothing ends while Belichick is in charge. Now they may not be as dominant without Brady but they will always be fighting for the division title and a playoff spot.

They have the ammo (2 first round picks and 2 second round picks) to move up to select a QB this year if they want one. And Gronk talking retirement is just his way to stay in the news. He's not going anywhere sadly.

I highly doubt that. Once Brady is gone that team is toast. This isn't 2008 where Belichick had a very talented team that went 16-0 the previous season. This is a below average team without Brady and one of the worst teams in the league if Gronk also hangs up his cleats. Belichick's once "dominant" defense was exposed in the Super Bowl after showing chinks in their armor during the season. That smoke an mirrors crap isn't going to work any more. The Patriots will be looking up from the bottom of the standings in not too long.

Amazingly, I think a lot of where this team goes and what it does hangs on Gronk making his decision *soon*. It seems there's actual friction between him and Belichick.

If he doesn't commit to returning to the Pats in the next week, it would not surprise me in the least if they traded him.

And a Patriots team that has no Gronk, no Amendola, no Nate Solder, no David Harris, no Malcolm Butler, Jordan Matthews playing the part of Brandin Cooks and Jeremy Hill playing the part of Dion Lewis is going to be hard-pressed to be as dominant as it's been in years past.

I know they're the Pats. But if you keep digging away at the foundation, eventually the house is going to crumble.

Brady made Belichick a great coach.

Where would Bill be if they didn't stumble across what that 6th rounder turned out to be?

Could argue the other way. Bill made Brady a great QB. Where would Brady been if he had not ended up in NE?

Haven't you been watching? It doesn't matter who quarterbacks that team they always seem to be just fine. The QB's are coached to play to the advantages. Not to mention how loaded they are at the top of the draft this year. The best we can hope for is to compete with them.

When was the last time the Patriots made the Playoffs without Brady at QB? We haven't seen that team for a long period of time without Brady at QB. The only year was 2008 , when they had a much better team and were able to win 11 games without Brady. This isn't 2008 and the 2018 Patriots would be a below average team without Brady IMO. They wouldn't have sniffed the Super Bowl last year without Tommy Boy. Also had it been Tommy Boy instead of Cooks who got knocked out, Super Bowl 52 would have been over by half time. A couple of extra high picks for a team that hasn't really drafted that well recently isn't all that scarey. Especially since they traded their most talented WR to get one of those picks. Again without Brady and Gronk the Patriots will be a below average team. The writing is on the wall. Their time is coming to an end.

How tradeable is he if he won't commit to playing? Now he may be playing this up to get out of NE but who knows.

anyone that tries to act like Brady or Belichek are not among the greatest ever without the tired argument that one of them really is not that good and the other made them has really not watched football since about the year 2002.

Belichick is rumored at having issues in NE and it appears the marriage may be on the rocks. With a possible divorce would you bring him to Miami as GM/HC ?
Like we did with Jimmy Johnson.

There is less than zero percent chance of that happening, but in some fantasy world where it could happen? Sure, I guess. It's not like we'd have anything to lose by trying it. It would probably end up much like Parcels though. I won't deny Belichick is a good coach, but I also think he's benefited greatly from some rather suspect circumstances. Look at his record in Cleveland prior to NE, and how he immediately becomes the greatest coach in the NFL as soon as he lands there. Look at the stats of most players before and after NE.

He would be welcomed in my book but the question is????????

Would he want to come to miami when we have a scrub in tannehill??????

Nobody wanted part of miami a while back when the scrub philbin took the reigns here....

We have no true qb but a wr in college.

    Our defense stinks.

Why would belichick want to come to this mess???????????

Why would anybody want to come here?

I think he would want to come to stroke his own ego. I believe he would like to take another team to a Super Bowl. Has any coach ever done that? I believe he would like to prove that he can do it without Brady. I believe that he would like to stick it to NE twice a year if he leaves. Now would I welcome him? **** yeah! I believe Brady benefits from Bill's system more than Bill is a product of Brady's success. He actually took the Browns to the playoffs? THE BROWNS!

I'm conflicted. I like winning, but I don't like cheating. I'm not saying he's a bad coach, but there is no way Belichick is ever going to give up his "if you're not cheating you're not trying" philosophy.

Although, knowing the NFL, they'd probably crack down on his bull@#$% as soon as he came to Miami.

*Realistically though, this will never happen. I'm pretty sure Belichick doesn't want to tarnish his legacy by acting like a mercenary at the end of his career.

There is 0% chance he leaves the Patriots organization.

That being said, I would welcome him with open arms like I did LeBron on the Heat and D. Wade when he came back.
