Post-free agency draft updates (visits, reported targets etc)

Nor do we need Cunningham's arm tackling ability.....we have enough of that.

I don't understand why his name is floating around here so much, what good are instincts when you can't tackle? I would MAYBE take him in the second round. Maybe.

Tight end Darrell Daniels also stood on his combine numbers but looked tremendous in pass catching drills. Daniels, who was described as a “specimen who looks the part,” ran crisp routes, caught the ball well and showed a great catch radius. The belief among many is Daniels was hurt by being the third option in the UW offense, which features two next-level receivers.

The Miami Dolphins are showing heavy interest in Daniels.

Kansas State

Outside linebacker Elijah Lee, one of the bigger combine snubs on our board, had a terrific workout.

Measuring 6025 and 229 pounds, Lee completed 18 reps on the bench, touched 38 inches in the vertical jump and reached 10-foot-2 in the broad jump. His 40 time clocked 4.65s, the short shuttle came in at 4.27s and his three-cone was 6.91s.

After the workout, Lee spent extensive time with the Miami Dolphins and Minnesota Vikings as well as the Arizona Cardinals. Lee has an official predraft visit on his schedule with the Minnesota Vikings and a workout with the Detroit Lions.

We originally stamped Lee as a potential fourth-round choice but moved him down a bit since the combine snub. No legitimate reason was given for not inviting Lee, who is one of the better 4-3 weak side linebackers in the draft, to the combine. He makes a lot of sense in the middle rounds for the Vikings, who lack depth at weakside linebacker

I don't want to draft Peppers, but I'm sorry, you suck as a coordinator if you can't find a way to use him on your D.

Here’s our initial report pro day from Oregon State

Treston DeCoud timed the forty in the mid 4.5s, with a number of teams reading 4.55s on their stop watch. His vertical jump hit 30.5 inches.

Like his teammate DeCoud is a much better football player than pure athlete. He’s a solid cornerback but the lack of pure speed, both in the forty and on film, makes me believe he’s better off inside at safety.

The team's other defensive back, Devin Chappell, posted a 35 inch vertical jump, 9-foot-8 broad and completed 17 on the bench. He timed 4.61s in the forty, 4.32s in the short shuttle and 7.09s in the three cone.

He later interviewed with the Miami Dolphins.

Small school tight end Andrey Avgi of Western Oregon also took part in the workout and turned some heads.

Avgi, who played four year of basketball at Western Oregon and spent just two on the gridiron, measured 6050/263 pounds, completed 17 reps on the bench, touched 35.5 inches in the vertical jump and 10-foot-2 in the broad. His forty timed 4.77s, while the short shuttle clocked 4.12s and three cone 6.90s.

Avgi is an intriguing prospect as he’s a talented athlete with terrific size. He met with the Miami Dolphins on Thursday night and is drawing interest from the Cleveland Browns.

UCLA

UCLA's pro day is finished and results are coming in, but here’s what I can tell you: cornerback Fabian Moreau strained his pectoral muscle on the bench press and is presently undergoing further evaluation. He did not participate in position drills.

Prior to the bench, Moreau met with a host of teams. On Monday, he met with the Detroit Lions, Miami Dolphins, New Orleans Saints and Cincinnati Bengals. He also spent time with the defensive backs coach of the Dallas Cowboys on Tuesday.
