Potential substance abuse suspensions due to Richie Incognito's texts...

It’s incredible how the last remnants of delusional deniers are clinging to the faux righteousness of their dug-in stand defending someone who has now revealed himself to undeniably being a lazy, conniving self-serving snake who:

a)had no problem following a script to ruin Incognito, who turned out, as evidenced by his supportive texts even after Martin’s theatrical pissy fit to be his most concerned friend, and

b)throw his team which he had no problem continuing to steal money from while hanging them out to dry under the bus while flitting around on the Stanford team's sidelines

c)petulantly lied his ass off to punish a team that demoted him because he couldn’t cut it

d) etc.

What would the OP have preferred? Richie to just sit there while this manipulating worthless liar skewered him and sabotaged his reputation and career? It’s okay for him to perpetuate lies, create BS from out of thin air, BUTgod forbod Incognito didn't have either kept quiet or sympathetically edited out the drug part?

Incognito’s dad on this very site called everything right from the start including Martin being a drug abuser, and serial suicide threatener including several times theatrically holding a gun to his own head. Unless you’re dyslexic, or so deeply entrenched in your delusions - while Incognito certainly is far away from being depicted by those proverbial rainbows and unicons, if there are true “victims” here based on these circumstances they’re Incog and the Fins while Martin is the Snidely Whiplash of what’s turned out to be this farcical cartoon, down to the evil curlicue stash.

I literally LMAO’ed reading the analogy by one Delusional Denier who equated Incog to George Zimmerman and Martin to Trayvon Martin. This couldn't be further from what most of us without agendi knew from the get-go: that using a similar analogy, the reality would turn out to be Incog being more like the NYPD, Martin like Tawanna Brawley and his handlers including the lawyers even beyond mommy and daddy, exactly like Al Sharpton.

****ing Unreal!

What I find weird is that even still, after everything that's come out, people like you and people like me cannot see eye to eye on this.

Unlike you, I see nothing sinister in Martin's intent. I see Martin as a troubled kid who, after two years of living in what was obviously a strange and sordid zoo of drugs, girls and whatnot (I guess that's what professional sport is), simply broke down and walked out. He tried (and is still trying) to salvage his reputation and livelihood, but it's too late. Is Incog an innocent victim in all this? Kind of, but then it's hard think of anyone who participated in this debauchery as "innocent". They're all probably getting what they deserved.

Jonathan is that you? Come on now. What Martin did is the act of a little, pathetic being that couldn't cut it in the NFL. He obviously enjoyed doing drugs, if he constantly do them. It is weed man, you don't smoke weed and hate weed, because weed is not a drug that you build a dependence on. He sucked at tackle, he was messing up (missing meetings, which he should have attended to get all the blocking help he could) and he walked out. He didn't breakdown and leave, if he did breakdown things would have been completely different. Why did he not check himself into a mental health facility then? Why cause a scene? Nothing simple about that. Is he trying to salvage his reputation by hiding in the dark while mommy pumps out statement after statement, only to FINALLY do an interview with a man who is more peaceful than Ghandi right before the report comes out to try and save face? Incognito came right out, admitted he was wrong and gave proof backing his claims while also showing he is a di*k. Why are Martin's camp only giving out little sample sizes making Martin look like the sad hero and Incog the villian? Joke. Straight joke.

None. You are right. I am not doing a good job explaining myself. People on this thread are wondering aloud how some of these guys are not banned for drug use. My point was maybe they have in fact tested positive and are in step one.

The texts are hearsay at its best.

Got it thx.

Many employers run their own random drug testing programs where on a random day, everyone has to submit a urine sample. While the NFL has its own testing protocol, maybe the Dolphins need to do some random testing in house.
I consider marijuana to be relatively harmless but I am very concerned by the side reference of "molly" - ie ecstasy in the texts, and its alleged availability from Pouncey.
If we have a pervasive hard drug culture, we should make some efforts to test for it with surprise random testing.

Didn't all pro bowl players had to get a drug test before playing? Or did they only test Brandon Fields?

well if your the dolphins and the nfl you might want to evaluate your drug testing

It may have been mention somewhere else in the thread, but in the NFL you're not suspended for your first drug violation and I'm not aware of Martin, Incognito or Pouncey having any run ins before. Your first offense puts you in the NFL's program of extra monitoring and is not normally made public. Now I wouldn't be shocked if Incognito had an earlier offense. I would be more shocked by Pouncey and Martin simply because they've only been in the league a short time.

On a side note, I guess I can give up on any hope of taking a late draft flyer on Colt Lyerla.

... This guy is the real rat. He is trying to save his own ass and dragging everyone down with him. After reading the texts that Incognito's agent recently released, there is a chance now Pouncey might get suspended and god knows who else.

If Martin gets called a rat for standing up for himself, Incognito is definitely a scumbag crybaby rat for putting all this info out that will only elongate this investigation and negatively impact the Miami Dolphins in 2014 but I bet you guys still think Martin in the wrong. **** them both.

Would I be an asshole if I said "I told you ****ing so, you come mierdas!" I hope that the speculation of losing a draft pick and players is wrong.

I thought I read players are tested April 15th, and then that's it for the year. They are only tested for steroids after that.

I could be wrong, I think it was Ryan Clark on espn.

I'm sorry but the way this site has ridden Incognito's coat tails since he was let go deserves to be shown for what it is and was, ludicrous and ridiculous.

P.S. - I never said I had class, just brains.
