Pouncey open to playing Guard

That would be a pretty damn solid line with more star power waiting in the wings..... thank you Dennis Hickey..

Oh most definitely not a long term move but our guards are horrible so we need to do something. Better to start a low tier starting center than starting a low tier backup
 
I just read another article with Satele looking at reps for guard. Which article is truth?

Im sure they both are. Try both guys out at each spot. See what works. Satale is better then dallas thomas at guard I'm sure

If you want your best 5 players on the field, is it Dallas Thomas or Satele? That's what it comes down to, and between the snaps, the cadence and Pouncey's line calls I've never really considered him particularly great at the unique componenets of being a center.

Im not a fan of satale at guar at this point but not sure he can be any worse than the others

Im not at guard. would rather keep Satale at center than make him a guard whee im sure he is closer to Thomas level
 
Chris Perkins had a write up from the Sun Sentinel.

It was a opinion piece backed with quotes from Samson.

Never mind. Found the article you're referring to. From Oct, 1st:

Satele, who played well in Pouncey's absence, acknowledges the obvious.

"This is Pouncey's job, center is Pouncey's job," he said. "I did my best part trying to hold it down for that man when he comes back, try to make it tough on coach [Joe Philbin], but we'll see what happens next week, see what he wants to do, see what we're doing."

Most likely Satele simply becomes the backup center.

But considering the Dolphins love versatile linemen, and considering they often say they like putting their five best offensive linemen on the field regardless of position, there's a chance Satele gets a look at backup guard.

Though I can't imagine Satele being demoted to simply backup guard. We'll see. With the job the staff has with our o-line so far, I trust them to make the best decision.
