Why even watch the games then...do you guys honestly thought that the fans of some of those franchises thought they were goin to the playoffs this past season? Hell no...but that's what's so great about the game..for Christ sake, let's see at least a preseason game first..I could see if tony and henning were still here...they're not.you change coaches to change the culture of losing. You all can bash this squad all you want, but if they win all you will here is "I told ya so" I don't know if we are goin to win or not this season, but I refuse to have such low expectations like some of you before a snap from pouncey has even been snapped...
Hey you have the right to see things however you wish, but so do the rest of us. If a sports writter picks the Redskins or Vikings to finish last in their division next year it isn't because he hates the redskins. It's because they have the lowest level of talent in that division. COULD they win their division, sure, and the dolphin could also, but it isn't likely. I could win the lottery tomorrow also, but I am not going to quit my job today because I think it is going to happen!!! Don't call people less fans, or haters because they can look at their team for what it is. Just because you can bury your head in the sand like an ostrich to avoid reality doesn't make you some kind of super fan.
I had a neighbor three doors down from me that used to be a good friend. He started having some things going on that was kinda scary, coughing blood, discomfort, things of that sort that were definitely NOT normal. This was like summer of 07. Everyone including myself kept telling him to go see a doctor and he kept saying he didn't want to know. Said things would work out. Said he could take care of whatever it was with the power of positive thinking. This went on for over a year until he started passing out at work. By the time he went to the doctor he was given less than a month to live. He died the week before Thanksgiving 2009, leaving a wife and two teenage daughters. The doctor said if he would have came in at the first symptoms he would have had a 85% chance of beating it. I tell you this because this whole idea of ignoring truth because you want to believe in fantasy goes MUCH deeper than sports.
They say that ignorance is bliss, but what they don't add to that is that at some point truth will catch up with reality and when it does it can KILL you. If you don't have the strength to start standing up and facing truth and teaching your children to face truth today in the little things, how can you expect them to face truth in the big issues of life??
We are all dolphin fans on here (well except for trolls like junc) and it is true we all have our right to cheer for our team how we want. But I didn't start this conversation, I just don't appreciate people unwilling to see reality tell me I am some how less of a fan because I see things for what they are. If you went to all the other message boards of every NFL team and took a poll as to where they see the fins finishing next year it would be somewhere between 4-12 and 6-10. That is what you would get if you take away the bias. I HOPE we will be better, and think things could go really well and we could go 8-8 or even 9-7, but I wouldn't bet on it.
