Wondering if Texans gave up on Davenport cuz they were in 'win-now' mode and wanted the stud LT. They had no patience, which made sense for a playoff-minded team. Maybe Davenport can grow into a competent NFL OT. He has good measurables, right?

The good news is he's only been in the league two seasons, so you would hope there 's room for growth. Remember 2018 was his rookie yean and in 2019 he joined the Dolphins line late and also dealt with injuries off and on for part of the season. I personally wouldn't be that shocked to find a young tackle with no chemistry with his linemates, surrounded by other struggling lienmen and dealing with injuries didn't shine.
