Prediction: Matt Moore will be traded after 2nd Preseason Game

I'm gonna have to agree that Moore gets traded at one point. I cant see a scenario where we keep all three QBs and still develop Tannehill at one point hes gonna have to elevate into our starting QB or 2nd string.

Assuming that he doesn't bust, or become injured. If either happens, then what??? We settle for regressing back to the day after DAN retired??? I have to laugh at people who count TANNEHILL as "money in the bank", after a bunch of "underwear modeling sessions" and 2 or 3 days in Training Camp. I'm hoping too, but ENOUGH ALREADY. What's our protection against a TANNEHILL meltdown? An off-and-on 34 Year old who now has back issues? I can't help but remember D GARDENER before and after back surgery. I DON'T TRUST BACK ISSUES.

I'm not getting into the Tenbow stuff in this thread, there is not a chance in the world Miami gets a 4th rd pick for Matt Moore. if Ireland can do that I will be astounded.

But then again, putting your opinion in perspective, there are few beside you who think that Sanchez at this point might even be worth a third. So there's that :idk:

I like the idea of trading Moore and picking up anything we can get for him and keeping 1.Garrard 2.Tannehill 3.Devlin.

You don't trade him until RT is looking good against "more than just the #2's." There is too much a risk of Garrard getting hurt to get rid of him until RT actually looks like he can come in if needed.

Let's think about this for a second. If we make him available, it is because he has lost the starter's job to Garrard and/or Tannehill as proven himself ready for the backup spot, and we feel good enough about Devlin and/or veteran options at the third qb spot.

Why would a team trade for Moore in-season? Because they are playoff-caliber, their starter has gone down, and Miami's backup is an upgrade over their backup. Name those teams and there's your market. Now you can start to assign value to the draft pick we would get in return. I don't know the rosters well enough...who's behind Romo in Dallas? Batch still backing up Big Ben?

Ok, don't talk Tebow but tell us about Cromartie playing wide receiver. They were saying that he stated he was the 2nd best receiver on the team. he may be right but he might have ruffled a few feathers.

orton in dallas and i think still batch in pittsburgh...i don't see either of those teams viewing moore as an auto upgrade...denver if manning went down i could see that...but if we get a 4th i'll do cartwheels...not seeing it...its not like denver would do anything with matt moore

luduporcos right though a back is dicey stuff...garrard hasn't even been hit yet...its playin with fire...but with tanny in house i'd trade moore...i don't think the wco is his thing

Moore could be traded if another teams QB goes down. Probably would be a late conditoinal pick though because he only has a year on his contract, but yea, I could see him being traded. If Garrard wins the job, I dont see why Tannehill cant be the #2 QB and Devlin the #3 QB. Do we really need Garrard, Moore, and Tannehill? I think keeping 2 of the 3 is ideal. Moore is gone after this year anyway.

Man i hope he doesnt bust. im not making any predictions, but i really cant see us keeping all three QBs the entire season. Either Garrard goes or Moore goes but either way at one point Tannehill is gonna have to do what he was drafted to do. We wont know if hes a bust until ATLEAST three years down the road.

I think we have to determine who will be better in the WCO between Moore and Gerrard, and then trade the other. There is no reason we keep both and Tannehill. We NEED to let Tannehill get more reps and some playing time. If he is indeed our QB of the future then why keep delaying his progreession for 2 QBs who wont be on the team in 2 years. Moore might not get us a 4th (unless a playoff team loses their QB), but we could def use an extra roster spot for an extra WR. If we keep Moore and Gerrard at least let Tannehill be the 2nd string and have him take some of Moore's reps in practice. It is pointless to keep all 3 and maybe go 6-11 with Gerrard/Moore starting, opposed to 3-14 with Tannehill starting. We need to let Tannehill get some playing time and develope and with so many QBs that wont happen. We DONT have to win now, because we still are missing a lot of pieces to even compete within our own division let alone the AFC.

like many have said only way we get anything worthy is if a starter on a playoff team goes down and their back up is not good at all.off the top of my head i can only think of two teams that would fit .indy and denver.just about every other team has a good qb and a decent backup.just like us
