Predictions of all AFC East teams

What have the Jets done to make them all of a sudden better then the Pats? That they got Fiedler this off season? They got a better receiving TE, that is not near as good a blocker? This offseason, the Jets (That barely made the playoffs last year), lost some players, traded WR that are pretty close in skill, had a very average draft. Personally I think it will go this way...

Patriots: This team is still very well coached, and this is still the team to beat. I don't expect them to go to far in the playoffs this year.

Dolphins: Before we had all our problems last year, we were the 2nd best team in the east, we fix all the problems from last year, get a better coaching staff, so t would be very tough to believe this team would still be a last place team. I believe they will be in the playoffs this season

Jets: This team is talented, but with the exchange of TEs, the Jets will not get as good blocking from that position, they lost their future RB to the raiders, so it's going to fall on Martin to totally become a workhorse if this team is going to be as effective running the ball. The Jets defense is getting better, but still needs work.

Bills: Very talented team that will go through growing pains (As Miami did last year with Feeley) as Losman learns the position. Jets Might end up last instead of the Bills, but I think the Jets with a little lass talent, still are playing better football.

NO way, The Phins will fight it out with the Bills for that 3rd spot. New coaching staff means new offense and new defense. There is a growing and bonding period and obviously that learning curve. The Phins have at least 3 seasons before they do anything worth noting.

Dolphins win division.
Dolphins win Superbowl.

I will not say anymore or believe anything else.

Should be interesting to see now that we don't have Drew. I think Losman will be lost on the field that Bellichick won't know how to contain him

BB:" how do we gameplan against a guy who's confused. How the hell are we suppose to know what he's gonna do next when he doesn't even know himself"

Debatable? Patriots have a better QB, HB, WR's, TE's, OL, Dline, LB's and kicker and a better head coach and you say thats debatable? LMAO dude lay off the smoke. Our TEAM IS AND WILL BE BETTER. It has been for years now if you haven't been watching TV. Get a clue.

We even have the better secondary now that I thought about it.

Whoa dude! My response was based on the poster's statement that the Patriots have better talent this year than THEY had last year. I was not comparing the Pats to the Phins at all. I just think that the statement that they have better talent this year than they had last year is debatable.

If you want to get in a debate on Pats vs. Phins, we can do that. But that was not the point of my post.

Pats are the team to beat although if Bruschi can't play that will hurt alot. He was the best D player in the game IMO. He was always all over the field making big play after big play.

Why would people pick the Jets to do real well. They have gotten destroyed this offseason. I'd say the Jets, Miami and Buffalo are all up in the air after the Pats. The bright spot is that it's clear Miami is at least on the rise. What a good feeling after spiraling down the last few years with Wanny and Rick. Can't wait until Spielman is shown the door or at least moved to a scout role like he should be.

How have we "gotten destroyed"? B/c we lost a back up RB, an overrated DT and an overpaid OT? We signed a quality backup RB, we have a young OT ready to step in(rememebr how folks went nuts after we lost Ryan Young and Kareem stepped in and did fine) and we have a nice rotation at the other DT next to future Pro Bowler Dewayne Robertson. As long as Chad is healthy we are definitely better than last year. Chad being healthy is a concern but if he is we can go a long way.

It's obviosuly still very early and alot can change but as of now:

NE 11-5
NYJ 10-6
Buf 9-7
Mia 6-10

While I do agree w/ you I think our pass O will be alot better and that will open up more holes for Curtis. He won't get 1,700 yds again but he'll get a very effectiove 1,300 to go along w/ a much betetr passing attack where we upgraded at WR, TE and RB out of the backfield.

On D we had alot of young players who should get better, our D was top 10 last year and should be even better.

Any word on Fiedler? How's he grasping the WCO?

AFC EAST:

New England Patriots- 9-7
Miami Dolphins- 8-8
New York Jets- 8-8
Buffalo Bills- 6-10

With over 4 months to go, it's still way too early to tell. Just wanted to give it a shot.

:ban: haha, jk.

Seriously, though, thinking we'll be worse than last year is insane. I don't care what anyone says. Too many improvements to have that scenario play out.

New England 12-4
Miami 10-6
Jets 10-6
Buffalo 9-7

(Tough division, but I say we sneak in with a wild card birth).

With the addition of Ronnie Brown AND an injection of youth in our defense (depth), we HAVE to somehow improve on last season. I know our QB situation is iffy, but if Houck can shore up that O-Line, that should open up our offense. I have no doubt in my mind that our OL will play significantly better than last year. I have a feeling the OL is going to be one of Saban's major priorities heading in to camp this year and there will be a couple signings or trades before the year begins.

You laugh at another's post but you guys will be closer to 3 wins than 10, I'm not saying you'll win 3 but you aren't coming close to 10.

Agreed. If he had to bet his life on the Dolphins over/ under for win totals at 7 I bet he'd take the under.

There's no way the Jets are going 12-4....more like 9-7...especially since Chad is coming back from shoulder surgery......I want to see Feeley step in for him and then we can return some easy INT's for TD's. :D

I still see the Patsies winning the division...I think we can 8-8 or 9-7...but I am looking for us to tear it up come 2006. :)
