Pretend Ricky never retired..........

You see when he quit, he decided to leave us. He decided the Dolphins did not matter. If he got suspended, well than he just made a mistake. Give him some rehab, and things are better. People make mistakes all the time, that's why our prison time in North America is a joke. Rehabilitation. When we found out he quit, it was no mistake, he chose.

Alas it wasn't his first offense...........see that's the funny thing, he should know after the FIRST offense that it's time to clean up his act, let alone the 2nd offense.......

I really don not understand the point of creating Hypothetical situations for people to consider. The bottom line is that Ricky quit last year and hurt his fans and his team. We can't change that and it will not help to formulate alternative ways to hate him. You obviously hate Ricky and are unable to forgive him. Others are more forgiving and would like to see him succeed and either stay with the team as a productive member or be trade bait at the end of the 2005 season. Do you think that you can convince people to hate Ricky as you do? What would be the point of that? What is your agenda here? Are you man enough to answer THESE questions?

I already did answer the question............and my post has nothing to do with hate, but everything to do with the fact that I absolutely do not respect the man.

And don't dog on the hypothetical - it was about to become a reality, until Ricky ran like a child. Just because you're not advanced enough to "hypothesize" doesn't stop me from doing so........

Tell that to someone with an addiction. "Oh no! Your supposed to stop the first time". How many people out there have lost their homes, their vehicles, their wives, children, etc... just because they need to smoke a rock, or go out for a beer. You can't just stop. Honestly try not posting on these forums for a month and see how well you do. Now imagine it being something you actually NEED to do to live.

...........let's clear our minds for a moment and pretend Ricky never retired. Training camp kicks off and everything's in full gear. A couple weeks before Week 1 is set to begin, you read on the bottom of ESPN's sportsticker that Ricky Williams has been suspended by the NFL for the 2004-2005 season for testing positive twice for mairjuana............

Now how do you feel about the man?

This question is mainly aimed at those who quickly want to forgive the man, especially in the name of a few 100 yard games or a few extra wins. Alot of you easily forgive him, without an apology at all (which is ironic) ........

Common sense tells me that had the media circus not ocurred and all of that babble Dan LeBetard created in the media about Ricky, nearly every single Dolphin fan would've considered Ricky a deadbeat for kicking Paxil in order to resort to weed and put our whole season in jeopardy. Not to mention Ricky wasn't going to be around for the 2004 season no matter how you spin it, retirement or drug habit........ I do believe the majority of you "forgivers" have been fooled by the Jedi Mind tricks of a man who's unwilling to admit his wrongdoings and has forever considered himself an innocent, unique snowflake..........a true manipulator into making people feel sorry for him, even when he's done wrong.

So let's hear it...........again, season's about to begin, we're all excited..........and then Ricky gets suspended........what say you?

I honestly do not get your point here. Of course everyone wouldve been upset if that would have happend. That being said, would we NOT want him back the following year? Are you telling me you think after he was suspended for a year, our team shouldnt have welcomed him back? If that is not your opinion then your post makes no sense.

I wouldve been upset and wouldve wanted him back, drug free, the following season. So? It's just the same as when he failed his first two drug tests. We welcomed him back.

As for RW right now, I dont know what the hell peoples problems are with him returning. ITS A NO LOSE SITUATION FOR US. IF he sucks, we cut him, if he plays well, GREAT! With little to lose and a lot to gain, its a no brainer.

It really bothers me when you people use this forum to push your own moralistic views and agendas. I guess some of you are not confident enough to go post in a forum dedicated to moral and political issues so you come hear and ***** about Ricky and make him out to be SATAN. Get a clue and do your research! Ricky suffers from a serious condition. People with this condition often go off their meds because being off them for a while makes them feel so normal that they think they can function without them. Unfortunately, this is the mind trick that plagues Ricky. When these individuals stop taking their meds the act irrationally (some go out and spend huge amounts of money, others do things drastic like Ricky, and others simply commit suicide). Would you rather Ricky commit suicide so that you could feel sorry for him, or would you hate him for killing himself before giving you something to cheer about on Sunday.......jerk!!!

 x2 ;)

:sosad: Like it or not he's coming back. Get over it. :shakeno:

You should be more upset that our bonehead ex-coach built the offense around a player with even a hint of uncertainty. Which caused numerous last minute trades and confusion within the offense for the season. As someone posted earlier, obviously it was hard to watch our team go through what it did last year but I believe it was much needed as it gave us the facelift that was long over due.

Enigmatics you have displayed a truly ignorant character. Not sure if you are that kind of person, but I have little respect for you. Have you ever met someone with an addiction, the fact you'd even ignore that fact proves your lack of education on the topic.

I'm happy for you......

I hate Ricky for what he did and I don't want him back so I think the question is irrelevant to me

............the most chicken way out of the argument........

There was no arguement. I made a valid point, and you posted an ******* statement. Same goes for everyone else who posted. It's like argueing with a toddler. K, thx.

Who are you enigmatics? What are your vices? Do you smoke? Do you drink a lot? Are you addicted to internet porn? You know they say that 85% of people who spend significant amounts of time posting on forums are addicted to internet pornography and I see that you currently have over 2,000 posts on this forum alone. How many other forums do you post on? Does your wife or girlfriend know about your problem whatever it may be? Are you ashamed of your habit? Or, maybe you dont have any problems....maybe you are the perfect individual. You, sir, are an example for the rest of humanity. That is what gives you the NARDS to sit in your computer chair ( are you at work posting these comments? that would be dishonest man!!) and tell others how to make the right decision in every situation. The nerve!
