Pretend Ricky never retired..........

what about the verbal commitment made to ricky about restructuring his contract? what about the verbal commitment of revamping the offense so he wouldn't carry the ball 375 times a year.

all im saying is in this world there is good and bad....ricky has done nothing to make him evil or a bad person right? my other point addresses the impression i get from the people bringing morals into it and i am not saying that is wrong but it sounds like they feel committed to disliking him because they want everyone to know they have morals too....it makes sense to me but maybe in text the meaning got misconnstrued.

DR ASTRO ZOOM....i dont think enigmatics could handle a debate with you and he obviously is hiding at this point.

Really now? I unfortunately had a job to attend.........obviously you all had the day off or spend the time at your job pouncing on the computer keyboards.

If you want a challenge.........then set it up my friend. I will eat you alive.

Great. Another I hate Ricky thread. Get over dude. He's on the team again, learn to deal with it..........Or go cheer for the Jets. Or Bills. Or Pats.
I am willing to give him another chance. You're not. We're all clear on that. Let's please move on.

Hate no........completely not respect? Yes.

I'll fill in for Enigmatics here. I frankly would have been choked beyond belief. An idiot that had already been busted twice for drug violations would jeapordize the teams success by being busted a third time. He knew the risks and he didn't care. His own personall gratification was more important than his career, the success of his colleagues and the hopes of the many many fans that help pay his salary. His retirement was the lowest form of cop-out. He couldn't stand like a man and face the music for his 4 game suspension. He knew that he had no intentions of quitting dope, considering the money he had accumulated, and a fourth failed test was a given. You would have all been quite upset I'm sure to know that he was suspended and would call him for the dunce that he is. This is not negativity as I've been accused of before. This is the facts of the situation, he is manipulative. People that are selfish and sociopathic usually are.

Thank you for being the ONLY poster in the house today who actually answered the question without taking it into other tangents.

Enigma-you and I have gone on about this debate about Ricky previously. You called me greedy and I agreed...I am greedy for wins.

First off you are not giving Ricky a chance to apologize. You dont know if he will or not. I would not expect him to arrive the first day, drop everything and apologize to everyone. I am not saying he will, but I think it is premature to expect him to do so.
He owes an apology to the team long before he owes you jack, much less an apology.

Second, to answer your question above, I would have been disappointed if he had been suspended, just like I was last year when he "retired". But I don't hold a grudge like you apparently do.
Life is to short and I happen to want to be "greedy" with life too. And if bringing Ricky back means that the Fins may have a better opportunity to win, well, I am greedy about that too.

Quit acting like he came out and personally b!tch slaped you in front of your peeps, let it go and root for a great balance of Ronnie and Ricky to win some games this year and avoid a repeat of last year.

If he apologizes......actually puts forth effort to clear up what had transpired, I would be ten times more willing to forgive, but not forget. We've yet to see that and so far nothing has indicated he intends to do so. Honestly, if he walks back on this team without addressing it just once, it's obvious he hasn't changed one bit.

In his own ways he did b*tch slap me and all other Dolphin fans............I'm sure you used to feel the same well, it's just that you've seen this crap about him coming back and are now consumed with greed to win........and not in a good way.......

My first thought is... if Ricky never retired, Wanny and Jay might still be with us. For that, I thank you Ricky.

EXACTLY!!!! Wanny might still be here if it wasnt for Ricky. I think the 4-12 season will have been worth it (even the humiliation) if in the long run it helps Nick get us to the SB.....our 4-12 season also resulted in us being able to pick Ronnie Brown 2nd, and gave us a good 2nd round pick in Roth...sometimes in life you have to take a couple steps back in order to go forward,,,and if Ricky can give us a little support with our running game great!!! IF not, we still have RB and Nick Saban.

Actually, I think you're arguing against Enigmatics's point, which was that Ricky would have been just as despised for a suspension as he was for retiring.

And seeing as you're arguing against enigmatics's faulty premise, I agree with you.

No infact he said everything I feel about the situation.

You took my thread and brought it into other tangents, avoiding the question at hand........... "How would you have felt if he had gotten suspended for the year after he knowingly kept smokin' weed after getting warned by the NFL?"

I'm still awaiting your reply Dr. Dodgeball..........

Since the whole thing started I've always been a "Ricky Hater" but I have never tried to get the "Ricky Lovers" to be Ricky haters. They have their reasons for forgiving Ricky and welcoming him back with open arms and I have my reasons for wishing he would just go away forever. Just as most people probably don't understand why I don't want him back, I can't understand why most people do want him back! I'm not sure what the purpose of this thread is though. Was it to change Ricky lovers into haters? Because I doubt that there will be any conversions at this point. Everybody is pretty much set on where they stand with the whole Ricky debate. And I respect that.

I'm just curious. And it appears none of the forgivers can form an opinion, instead talking about every single angle EXCEPT the one I presented to the forum on this thread. Some of ya'll are some funny people........you type on here because you want your opinions to be heard, then when you're asked a direct question you won't answer it.

I think if Ricky hadn't retired there would be more sympathy, not less.

EXACTLY!!!! That is what I am thinking. The part that got so many of the fans, and me, so hot was the turning his back on us. It was his choice to just walk away, no matter who he hurt. If he got caught it wouldn't be such a betrayal, but just a shocker that he was using.
That in my opinion would have been much easier to take. Kinda like you get stood up by some chick, and A. she got stopped by the police, and couldn't make it, or B. she said "ya know what? screw it, I don't want to go out with ya after all. It would be much easier to take the first one.

More sympathy? For a man who was already warned two times prior that he was going to face major suspensions? How could anyone forgive a man who knowingly jeopardizes his role with the team and the teams outcome to smoke a few doobies?

we still lose that season. jay and wanny go away still. we draft braylon instead of ronnie b. lamar gordon gets traded to another team and we grab a decent player with our 3rd round pick we never traded.

I answered your question. I said it would have bothered me, but not NEARLY as much as him just walking away. I have seen people with drug problems, I know they are out of control and can't see that they are out of control until they do something drastic. I could forgive that, but not the way he did it.

I do believe that would've been the situation, if not then close to what would've transpired.

Well then thank you for being the second guy........ it really wasn't a hard question.........

How could a president get caught with 4 or 5 different women that were not his wife and then get caught with Monica?? Ya think he wasn't WARNED?? If the freaking president can get forgiveness what is so wrong with what Ricky got warned about?
