Dont know what team you were watching...gibson was the best receiver on this team until he got hurt...
The best receiver on this team isn't saying much. On a Superbowl contending team Gibson is a solid #3 or 4 receiver. He is not a #1. Neither is Wallace, Hartline or anyone else that is currently on the team. Even if you are happy with Gibson, Hartline and Wallace you have to consider that Gibson will be coming back from a knee injury while Hartline could be as well. So are you happy with your depth behind those 3 being Rishard Matthews and Marlon Moore? Were you impressed with those 2 guys and their drops against the Jets?
The goal is to build a team that can dominate teams like the Broncos, Patriots, Bengals, Seahawks, Panthers, 49ers, Saints and Colts. First priority is to fix the O-line and at least find someone to replace Wheeler. I don't care how much he is supposed to be making, if you want to field a winning team he is not one of your starting LBs. Then you need to find a true #1 receiver. You need a Demaryius Thomas , AJ Green, Julio Jones type player. Tannehill is not Brady or Brees who can still win on a consistent basis with average receivers. You need you give Tannehill as many quality weapons as possible. You
don't have to overpay for every player in free agency if you have a competent GM with a good scouting staff.
Also on defense you need to be able to dominate the line of scrimmage and put pressure on the opposing QB. Both Starks and Soliai could be gone so you need someone stout to put on your line next to Odrick. Wake has had a down year by his standards, Vernon tailed off towards the end of the year and Jordan needs to prove that he can be an every down player. So finding another stud DE is still a priority. You can't fix every hole on this team in one year. You can however fix enough to make this a legit playoff contender.
