Question for the sky is falling crowd........

It's called a CULTURE OF MEDIOCRITY. ... Propagating the culture of mediocrity.

Here's what you seek:

I'll be back when we go 6-10,

So if we win 7 games do you promise to remain quiet in your parents' basement?

I don't get why people bring up when successful teams lose and compare it to the Dolphins. Miami hasn't done anything in 30 years. They get no benefit of the doubt. New England, Seattle, San Francisco, teams like these have gotten to places Miami hasn't in 20+ years. To be fans of those teams is completely different than us here.

lol it's the 2nd game of the season!

Honestly, what the F are some of you going on about?!?!

Jesus we haven't even got to our BYE week yet.

Actually, they do. It's called a CULTURE OF MEDIOCRITY. The same players who gave us 8-8 last year and 7-9 the year before are still here. The same coaches are here. Propagating the culture of mediocrity. It's why the Cubs have gone 80 years without a championship. Why the Indians haven't won in sixty years. Why the football Cardinals were the laughingstock of the league for generations.

I wish Bill Lazor luck. More accomplished coaches than he have been unable to change and overcome the culture of mediocrity. It's the curse of the perfect season.

Apparently reading comprehension is not your strong suit. A loser mentality is trying to find fault in everything just so you can say you were right.

I dont recall seeing such outrage when we won interesting how that works huh? Maybe i would take your stupid post seriously if you didnt come off as a troll that you are.

Go crawl back under your rock, I expect you will be back when we win. But we all know that isnt going to happen.

It's not his forte, one ****ty argument a day on a fan forum a day keeps the doctor away, as they say.

If the Cubs had used the same players and coaches for 80 years, yeah, then you would be right. But you seem to be implying that players and coaches that are no longer on the team teach the new ones how to be bad. That old coaches somehow force the new coaches do things poorly. That new players fail because old players failed. How? By haunting the facilities with their malign energy? Is the spirit of Cam in the headsets? Does the ghost of Saban roam the hallways? Does Sparano whisper clock-strategy on Philbin's ear at night?

The worst droughts come to and end. You mention the Cubs, but how about the Phillies? Since they broke their 77-year drought in 1980 they've been to five world series. And trust me, it had nothing to do with doing magical incantations to break the grasp of old ghosts on current players' wills.

We've failed for many different reasons in the last 30 years, with many different coaches, GMs, and philosophies, and with three different owners. We haven't succeeded yet, but this year's story isn't written yet. Yes, it's possible the story will not turn out great, but if it does it won't be because some mumbo-mojumbo Fiedler passed on to Tannehill.

And for the record, I really like the way Hickey does things. I think we'll see some major success with him as the GM.

Sunday afternoon, I was SERIOUSLY pissed off...

Monday morning, I was still bummed - but dammit, it's only 2 games in (1-1 in the division)

I refuse to flip the **** out like many here have.

If you've thrown the towel in already, YOU SUCK!

Truly one of the most ironic post I have ever read... An RT fanboy calling all the people who see this team as another mediocre team 'losers!' Truly Ironic. Thanks for the laugh. I guess what we call 20+ years of disappointment is what you call 20+ years great times... I wonder who the real 'losers' are here.

Hmmm ...

Lets see ...

Losers?!?

Would that be people who watch for 20+ years expecting to be disappointed?
- or -
People who watch for 20+ years to enjoy rooting for their team to succeed?

Think about what message you just sent there.

I'll be happy if we're 3-2 after the Green Bay game. I agree with others, I was pretty annoyed on Sunday afternoon but I was already ready to move past it by Monday.

its not that people are saying that the season is officially over at this point. we just saw the real Dolphins show up last week. its a sobering dose of realism that yet another wasted year is upon us. another average team that can't get over the hump. they have talent on this team that is essentially being wasted because they don't have the leadership and the quarterback to take advantage of it. this league is about game planning effectively for your opponent and QB performance. until we have something suitable in those areas this is the outcome we're going to see. IMO

I don't understand when a fan notices faults in their team they are called "naysayers"? I feel that this team will be 3-1 by the break, but that doesn't mean there aren't shortcomings. Everyone here knows that I feel Tannehill isn't a franchise quarterback but that does not mean I feel this team is dead in the water.

No No No! The topic is the idiots that take cheap shots and reel in glee when we lose. We know the team has issues EVERY team does but bringing up stupid stuff about 15 years ago and yelling "Mediocrity!" at after every loss is annoying especially when it clutters up the main board.

Actually...more than half the starting lineup changed.

Meh, everybody is always high and mighty after wins while everybody is down in the dumps when we lose. We take it to the extremes we're fans. But we should not be making conclusions after 2 weeks. Are we as bad as we looked against Buffalo? No, are we as good as we looked against the Pats? Probably not. Does that mean 8-8? Maybe, does that mean we can contend for the playoffs? Maybe.

The constant Tannehill threads are going to happen. There have been some concerning things in 2 games, but again it's 2 games. He could improve he could regress. But at the end it's still 2 games. Some teams looked great week 1 and looked like **** week two and the same can be said the other way.

Just like if we have a convincing win and Tannehill looks good, there will be people trashing WV for a week, and if Tannehill has a bad game we'll have another 5 threads talking about how he sucks.

That'll probably never change I'm afraid. Somebody here even posted a quote from a Seahawks fan bagging on Wilson after the Chargers loss. If a SuperBowl champion breaking ground on the record books doesn't even get any leeway from his detractors after a road loss then Tannehill is going to be in for a rough ride. I hope he has a tough skin, he's going to need it.
