According to reports, the Cowboys were bidding against the Saints. If Tannehill gets a 4th next year, maybe they get a 3rd next year for Quinn since multiple teams were involved.
I think it's for a 4, unless Miami went full buffet on the salary LOL
I mean if I'm Miami I'd eat the whole salary for a 3rd rounder in 2020.

Its an interesting approach . . . .one that is actually pretty smart, considering the owner has some of the deepest pockets in the league. Its a way to strength your assets without really being penalized for it.
Like taking dead cap hits or cutting guys now net you a third or a 4th, instead of nothing.
Although I must say he should net you a 5 without eating a damn thing, so eating $12 million for a 3 seems a bit much . . . . But it ain’t my money and its all off the books in 2020.

Any compensation you get for Quinn would be a huge bonus. The more picks the better. I have to admit I love how the organization has handled this. Getting something in return for Tannehill and Quinn when one did not think that was possible a couple months ago. The picks are a lot more valuable than how much salary the team picks up.
