God I love the way were running this team now. It's like we finally woke up and decided to do things the right way.
I'm shocked honestly

Not a bad idea to get picks, but getting a bunch of 4th and 5ths, 6ths.....who is to say those players will be any good? A bunch of 2nd and 3rds? Sure.

You know, there have been a number of studies done that state that a consensus, of a large number of people is more likely to be right than the opinion of an expert. Look them up.In what world? Clowney is getting 16 mil this year and had 9 sacks. Flowers got 28.5 mil cash, and 18 mil salary per year, and had 7.5 sacks. Jerry Hughes had 7 sacks and is making 12 mil. Robert Quinn is 28, had 6.5 sacks making 12 mil.
Zadarius Smith, 9 sacks, average salary 16.5 milion.
I'll tell you in what world. In the world of scheme fits and other BS.
You get your stars in the first and 2nd round but in order to build a winning team you need those picks in the mid to late rounds to get your depth. If you draft smart you can get good players on day 3. Every pick can turn into a very good player. Not a bad idea to get picks, but getting a bunch of 4th and 5ths, 6ths.....who is to say those players will be any good? A bunch of 2nd and 3rds? Sure.
There you go. That's why Chris Grier should be fired now. He is fkn around pulling the owner and the fans by the nose.
100% agree. I would click my ****ing heels if eating salary this year buys us a 3rd next year!I mean if I'm Miami I'd eat the whole salary for a 3rd rounder in 2020.
If I'm the Dolphins, I'd be willing to eat his salary this year for a higher pick. We don't need the cap space. Even if for a late rounder, I'm glad we got something. He wasn't awful, but I forgot he was even playing most of the time. The pass rush was non existent and they couldn't stop the run to save their lives. He wasn't worth the money. The DEs were awful and he couldn't even stand out. Perhaps he will do better with Dallas.
$12 million is a lot of money to pay him to be a mediocre football player.
That's Dallas's leverage in all this. Miami has tried to pretend they'd keep Quinn if they weren't offered a great price, but the Cowboys might have called the bluff.

Almost took the bait but decided on the high ground
