Randy Mac arrested in Augusta, GA......

FIRST: During both cases he was drinking, I suggest alcohol counseling for that. That will stop some problems.

SECOND: She was found with a few drops of blood on her shirt so obviously he didn't open hand punched ,DOESN'T MEAN IT WAS RIGHT, But it means that something else was going on that we don't know about completly.

good post but again i will say that we DO NOT know if she was drinking in either case as well. We are so quick to judge that alcohol make the problem worse, which is true, but both may have been impaired, not just the one everyone WANTS to be impaired...

MAN, I just got done defending mcmike in the depths just a few minutes ago. Now we will see what saban does when a star player gets in trouble. It doesnt sound like too big of an incident but why did it take so long to hit the papers??
:www:

Damned, those two. They need to get some kind of counseling or something and leave the booze alone.

Booze being #1 and couseling #2. The problem is if it is on both sides and she is as possesive as she seems to be... by constantly charging Randy while he is tying to get away. The problem for her could be more than just the two.

No rational person would continually charge an individual provoking an unwarrented retaliation. I think there is more to this story than what we are seeing in the press.

Do the rest of you think that Saban can handle all of these problems we are having? I do think that he can, i just wanna know your opinion on this.

guys i am going to be serious here and toss out my opinion here.
first i am not going to judge randy so therefore i will wait and see how this plays out . while everyone is panicing and making judgements i would like to remind everybody that randy needs help with his domestic and personal life and a former dolphin player who has a treatment center is where he should go and get help. lets dont throw away a career for these two instances . i am a randy fan even thought this behavior is troubling. i think if his wife attacked him he has a right deffend himself . i will say this the first thing to do is get out of the situation but women can be violent too and i would not stand there and try avoiding getting killed just because i am a man . anyways i will support randy and if he is guilty then the nfl will deal with him or (and saban) i just hope he was deffending himself. randy needs help and thats all there is to it.

I will not call him a wifebeater. I find the term demeaning toward women. What I think is they have a violent relationship, and judging by the nature and extent of injuries to both parties during both incidents, neither one of them has a high risk of being significantly harmed....physically. However, their children have a high risk of being harmed mentally, and though everyone here seems so easy to put the nail in the coffin on a relationship that involves children because of a few drunken scrapes, I would prescribe extensive relationship counseling.

But for all the white knights out there that want to vanquish the demons in the world, go on with your high-horsed campaigns....

It appears to me that this is a relativistic attitude you are taking.. I am not sure what your stance on Ricky is, but I hope it is as lenient, for I actually find Ricky's grievances to be less egregious than McMichael's... As a child who occasionally witnessed parental altercations, and one who had issues with a quasi-alcoholic father in his life, I do feel for his children, but their problems are directly attributable to their father's lack of control.. Of course, I am not saying his wife doesnt fuel the situation, but, as a man of value, you should show restraint, especially if you have children who are directly effected by the actions they witness in their parents.. I am sorry, but I will not condone this repetitious behavior by anyone, regardless of their affiliation to a team I choose to follow.. I dont exactly think McMichael is of despicable character, but he is capable of despicable actions, as shown TWICE, and who knows what has occured that has not been reported..

If you want to go own downplaying a very real and detrimental problem, you are welcome to do so.. But all I know is if we kept on excusing all the wife beaters in the world because they have bitchy wives, there will be alot more messed up children growing up in a ravaged family environment, and that, I can assure you is good for noone...

I gave him the benefit of the doubt last time..........but twice?????????

Great post, I completely agree, there is no excuse for his actions whatsoever.
