Randy Mac arrested in Augusta, GA......

Sorry, I still don't think it is right.

Okay, so you give in and now your children are dead due to her not knowing what she is doing. She drives off with the children in a panic to see her parents only to... half way down the trip, careen off a van full of a family destined for a vacation.

Do you realise how close I came to that situation when I my wife took off in a panic for her parents house 120 miles away from where we live? I got a call from the highway state patrol that they caught her just after she almost ran a minivan, full of a family off the road. She hadn't been drinking or anything.

If you think you know all the people out there that wander this world, you're sadly mistaken. Like I said, I regret that things came to blow, but when I had a broken collar bone after trying to leave peacefully and she kept coming... it was all about survival at that stage.

But I forgot, you and your loved one are more important than your children.

And I agree with you 100%. They were both wrong. Just because a woman can possibly do less harm doesn't mean she's any less culpable or less guilty. If anything at all she's maybe less intelligent. For me, and mostly due to what I do for a living, my opinions aren't based on the legal ramifications (which are certainly not balanced nor fair) but have more to do with moral obligations. And I certainly agree that this issue isn't cut and dried; in fact very few domestic violence cases are. Additionally, what we've read in the papers is with almost certainty just a microcosmic glimpse into what goes on at their house behind closed doors.
Also, don't misunderstand me. Even if everything we've read turns out to be true, I do not think McMichael is a "scumbag". He's still a human being. But he has some very serious issues that he needs to confront and take care of now and not later.

great post...i was just making sure you meant both were at fault from your explanations. i agree entirely with you

Cut him, one's an accident two is a trend.I have absolutly no respect for men (and I use that term loosely) that hit women.I relize women can go crazy on you but being far superoir in strengh you MUST WALK AWAY if you feel you can't control yourself.Yeah I know it's not always that easy, but it has to be done.I've never hit a women, but I have pushed her out of the way so I could leave the house.

Randy needs to get some help and NOW, before it's too late, and what's up with his wife continually making excuses for him? "accidental contact" usually doesn't result in a bloody nose. Then again I wasn't there and didn't witness it, but, if he really hit her, she needs to be honest and stop giving him an out.

My mother was abused. If these incidents were happening with my mother, I would be much happier.

Until McMichael actually beats his wife, it is an insult to all battered women to call him a wifebeater.

Can someone "copy and paste" the above post a thousand times?

eh i dont really care...as long as he's ready for the upcoming season

Exactly, we arent 100% sure he did anything but throw something at her. I dont agree w/ his actions but some of you are making it ou to be far worse then it really may be.

We dont even know that.

He was throwing her stuff out of the car...

An she was hit with a piece of cardboard....

Was it being thrown at her?

Or were her things being thrown out and something accidentally hit her ?

There is a huge difference.

Too many athletes get the kid glove treatment over crap like this...may be time to send him on his way.

Seriously, EVERY year we have to deal with some kind of stupid incident involving one of our players and I'm f*cking sick of it like you wouldn't believe. EVERY FREAKIN' YEAR. It's gotta stop.

Randy is one of my favorite players but I think it may be time for him to leave town. I wouldn't grant him an extension, let him sign for big $ elsewhere & get that future 4th round compensation pick for him. The upcoming TE class is loaded with 1st, 2nd, & 3rd round talent starting with Marcedes Lewis, Joe Newton*, Dominique Byrd, Matt Herion, & Anthony Fasano.
