i dont know how it came to be, that its less of a crime to beat your wife, than it is to beat someone on the street....

its not - in fact its the reverse when it SHOULD be the same.

if you hit your wife in the face in your house, its a HUGE deal.

if you hit a guy in the face in the street, its a hearty "come on, break it up guys" from the cops. why the hell?

even if the wife hit you first and you retaliated, you go to jail. you can hit another guy first on the street, no big deal.

I have to agree. IMHO they're BOTH living in a powder keg and giving off sparks. In case some of you have a case of selective amnesia, in the previous incident, they were BOTH arrested and charged with spousal abuse. The DA decided to drop the charges and send them both to counseling. He might end up in the can yet for violating his probation.

I think they need to sit down and really seriously consider a separation, possibly a divorce. At the very least, they need to get into some heavy-duty marriage counseling.

of course it isn't...but there is a big difference from cardboard to a hammer or a fist. what he did was wrong...no doubt...but it isn't as bad as everyone is making it out to be...when she walked out....he should have just let her go...instead of throwing his phone at her and following her out to the car...you don't know if he intentionally wanted to hit her with a cardboard or if it was an accident...you were not there!!!

i got a better comparison.
a woman walking down the street trips and spills coffie on a mans pants. the man slaps the girl across the face. what do you think would happen??

now compare that to the same thing happening in a house, except the man and woman are married. what would happen??
