Haha this post just makes me appreciate the constant defense that FinFan puts up.
The question is what are you trying to prove? All FinFan and most Dolphins fans are saying is that Tannehill was able to muster up a pretty good season as a 2nd year QB behind a horrid offensive line, and an OC that completely abandoned any chance at a real running game ( I mean, we had 7 games where our starting RB had 20 or less yards......). It's unfortunate that he has to fight so hard to do so. Ok. Tannehill played a poor game against the Jets, and it was arguably the most important game of his career....I can think of another QB who is considered an all-timer that put up a pretty big stinker in what some would argue was his most important game as a pro. No, I'm not comparing the two, I'm saying if you want to crucify our 2nd year QB for one game, then it is YOU who is not an objective Dolphins fan.
Good job, your stance is that a 2nd year QB with limited experience didn't have a spectacular season behind a bad offensive line and with a large majority of the offense put on his shoulders. Forget the fact that we play in a division with strong defensive line units, and that his supposed safety net TE went out pre-season, and his favorite receiver was dropped by the bye week, followed eventually by his 2nd. I mean, are supposed to praise you for such a bold stance? You're unimpressed? Congrats, man. You should make a shirt that says "I'm unimpressed with the toughness, and constant improvement of our QB". It really speaks to your evaluation of the game.
Call yourself a "realist" if it makes you feel better, but no one is blindly anointing the guy. We went 8-8. No one is ordering the banners, or planning a parade. We are just discussing our quarterback, who in my opinion, looks pretty damn good. You bash FinFan as he simply puts facts into posts, and defends his optimistic stance on Tannehill, and praises the work he's done so far. Meanwhile, you "want" him to be great, but you think he's decent, with upside...wow, that's a real tough position to take boss. Wish we had more fans like you. I'll just keep watching him improve if you don't mind, and if he hits a ceiling, well ****, guess he just didn't develop as much as it looks likes he's going to.
