I agree with the sentiment that we don't want to back into the playoffs. If you can't beat the Bills and Jets in what you should frame as must-win games, you don't deserve to make it to the playoffs. If this team is focused and playing well, they'll beat both. We've shown more mental toughness over the last few weeks than we have in the last ten years (remember the year we went 11-5, aside from the Wild Cat game, we didn't beat any good teams).
As far as who I'd rather play in RD 1 (between Cinci, Baltimore, and Indi), it's tough. Cinci clearly has the best team outside of the QB position, but Dalton is a major liability, and arm talent becomes a bigger deal in the playoffs. Flacco and Luck have arm talent to spare; Dalton - to put it nicely - does not. Gun to my head, I'd take my chances with the Bengals. I think we match up pretty well with all three (because Dalton isn't very good). Honestly, no one in the AFC is scary. If we were to win and face Denver, Tannehill has a lot more arm talent than Manning (at this point in his career). If we go into the playoffs playing well, it's wide open in the AFC.
