Report: Jonathan Martin "gone AWOL

I don't understand how so much dysfunction can be present in a locker room that hasn't really been under all that much pressure. Seriously, people called the Jets a circus, but any dissension could be understandable since going into the 2011 season there were very high expectations and when they weren't meant, players started chirping, and arguably the locker room was much more of a circus in the 2010 season when there was a lot of success for the Jets. But back to the Dolphins, I just don't understand where this dissension is coming from, Philbin doesn't seem like a Schiano, or someone who would rub his players the wrong way. The team hasn't been awful under his leadership, and isn't awful now, so where is this dissension coming from? I'm thoroughly confused.

Not having captains doesn't necessarily mean the team will be in shambles. The 2009 and 2010 Jets didn't have any captains either fyi.

Dont worry he didnt do bodily harm to anyone he can tell them he ran instead of standing his ground.
 
I honestly think this news was blown way out of proportion. If you listen to the reporters and read most of this twitter garbage, most of them clearly want to create mass hysteria with the fans and team.

I don't know if it's because they want a new FO or if it's because they're a bunch of sh*t stirrers. You decide.

Possibly. But the Dolphins certainly don't help themselves in these situations. They lend themselves to hysteria.
 
A great front office would see J > Martin for what he is before giving him the job of protecting my franchise #1 drafted qb. For him to baby out after being moved back to rt when your team needs o-line help is never forgive able.Martin is holding Jeffs hand out the door
 
From the reports I have read , it was members of the OL doing the pranks. In my opinion, those guys are the last players on the team that should be goofing off and pulling pranks. Every last minute they are at dolphins facilities should be spent getting better , this includes the lunch room. They should have been studying the play book while they were eating or at least watching film on the bengals.

NO we shoudln't make fun of mental illness -> but these whiffs are clearly on Jeff Ireland and his inability to address the Oline -> we only needed a "decent" athlete with a good motor and we couldn't even find that
 
couldnt agree more daytona fin, why these bozos are pulling pranks is beyond me. you would think they would be focused on getting better and not pulling pranks but all that probably matters for most of them is cashing the game check on tuesday. and if martin is sensitive and mentally a little shaky it speaks volumes about this group for messing with him.

Whats sad is the kid could be injured and afraid to speak anyone on the team that speaks to the media since JP got their is gone. Hartline was injured most of last preseason (I think) and hush hush. He came out had a hell of a season but he was not in front of the cameras at all. Bess tossed his helmet after a bad series and according to reports was playing with a broken back or some ****.

All these guys were injured or had a lot to say with whats going on behind closed door.
