Report: Philbin almost quit over Sherman situation

Thats actually concerning to me because it would suggest he's going into the new season half-hearted.

And I nearly didn't lose my virginity.

You know...there wasn't a chance in h*ll that Philbin wouldn't save his job and do whatever Ross wanted. I said this before, when people asked, what if Philbin refused to fire him.
 
The B%*#h was never going to quit. I am sure that is what Stephen Ross was hoping for when he gave Failbin the choice. See, most coaches who are good character guys WOULD quit. But not this guy. He knows he will never get another HC job because he sucks. So did what I knew he would do given his character. He agreed to fire Sherman. Now good luck Mr. Failbin, winning back the trust of your remaining coaching staff.
 
Ah yes the old I don't like the message so I shoot the messenger route! Never seen that on this board before, Dan is spot on this is the same crap Aponte pulled in Cleveland. You people need to wake up she is not some innocent lil number cruncher trying to break through the glass ceiling and land a gig in the NFL front office(which by the way she wasn't going to fleet so she pulled name to save face) she is a venomous snake with an agenda! By the way she is a lawyer and all you ppl defending her have been the most vocal against lawyers in the Martin saga!

The article has no sources, the journalist has no connections to the team, and it appears that this is just speculation. Honestly, we will likely never know what went down between Ross, Philben, and Sherman.

I think you are a snake. Dawn Aponte did the best thing for the Dolphins, for football in Florida, for the fans. Dawn Aponte is a saint.
 
We now know why we only had 3 crappy options in our search for head coach with Ireland as GM. One of those told us to go **** ourselves and another one almost quits after just one season with Ireland. Yeah, Ireland was swell.

A little over 2 weeks ago when people heard "Aponte" they thought it was a french desert. And now everybody knows exactly who she is and how she conducts business.
How many posts did we have in the last 4 years (prior to season's end and the firing of Ireland) about how bad Aponte is or how she is the root of all evils?
99% of Dolphins fans didn't even know she existed.

The goings on in the Dolphins front office that were exposed by Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald sound familiar to people who were in the Browns front office in 2009.

Exposed what? Salguero did not expose anything. He did a hit job on everybody but Ireland and Sherman with a bunch of speculation and false accusation. And people still buy that?
Let me ask everybody a question: where was the 'mighty' Salguero in the past exposing Aponte's evil power trips????

Anything based on his 'investigative reporting' I would throw out.

Where were you in the past? If you knew about her and her evilness how come you didn't post about her before? Because you didn't even know she existed. You base your opinion on half truth or total fiction by some dude named Salguero.

And yes, every messenger who transmits the same crap or pieces of that big pile of **** left by Salguero should be attacked. Because the message is crap and so are those who continue to feed us the crap without any further research.
