Rex Ryan calls Brandon Marshall one of the best WR's in the game....

Steve Smith (CAR) sucked for the past couple of years. Carolina finally got their QB, and Smith is back to being a super star again. Keep Marshall around.

I think you're right but that's a bull**** position for him to take. No great one plays that way.

Play the ****ing game the way you're supposed to. Do your job. Make the catch. If you're that high strung where you can't make a catch unless you respect the guy throwing you the ball then go find a giant tit to cry on and get the hell away from my football team.

i won't argue that...but i think you bring in an andrew luck and his tune changes and we get our moneys worth...but maybe he still sulks...something tells me that things are different though
 
Compare Welker's numbers in Miami to Marhasll's last year with the garbage QBs we trot on the field. Guys who put up 17 TDS and 19 Ints for the season if I remember correctly. Not many receivers are going to look elite with QBs like that.
 
Marshall played alright but he dropped a touchdown (once again), and then runs outta bounds when there was absolutely no one around him....thats 14 points we could have had right there.....and also what in the world is wrong with our recievers? they cant catch passes to save their life...There were way too many dropped passes!

Exactly right and why there is no way I call the guy an elite wideout. That is what irks me about the HOF. So watered down. Guys like Randy Moss and Terrell Owens are shoe in's supposedly but I don't think they are HOF'ers. They routinely acted like babies and gave up on their teams at times and sulked on the sidelines during games. I just can't see Randy Moss in the same prestige as Jerry Rice.

Look, Marshall has all the physical attributes to a stud. Look at frickin Calvin Johnson. Now THAT is a beast and monster but he plays the way you SHOULD. Use your size and be aggressive and not cry and do all kinds of stupid **** when things don't go your way. Johnson is bigger than Marshall but Marshall still could be similar to him. I can't believe Marshall didn't try to go up and snag that ball on the deep route that I think it was cromartie was covering him on. True elite wideouts like Fitz and Johnson catch those all frickin day long.

I guess Marshall is a different kind of elite wideout...

Randy revolutionized the passing game and yes he is a HOF'er but IMO you should be a professional your ENTIRE career. HOF is the pinnacle of the NFL family and I am not fond of "quitters" and "babies" in that sacred hall. No way do I hold Randy Moss in the same light as Rice but they both would be HOF'ers and you would have to as the playing field is equal at that point.

46 of those yards were on Cromartie but I will admit Marshall gives Revis a tough time. 5 catches for 55 yards isn't bad.

And that reviewed play was clearly an incompletion. The ball hits the ground and Marshall didn't have possession.

Marshalls 1st catch against Revis was a slant, and to say he tried to pound Revis' head into the ground is crap. He tried to break free as he was getting tackled. The 2nd pass was a 15 yard gain. Stop/go route that turned Revis inside out. 3rd pass was broken up by Revis in the endzone. Good pass but better defence. The 4th was picked by Revis. Just a poor throw, about 4 foot behind Marshall who had no chance at all. Should have been pass interference as Marshall was grabbed by Revis. The 5th pass was when he stepped out of bounds when open at the end of the 1st quarter. He over balanced. Should have stayed in bounds but didnt. Very frustrating. The 6th pass was behind him over the right/back shoulder. Should have caught it but the pass was behind him. The 7th pass was a long one into the endzone where Cromartie did a good job of defending the pass. The 8th pass was on the money & marshall too a great pass & a big hit. The 9th was a tough catch against Revis. The catch was overturned. The 10th was in the 4th and made some tough yards against the defence. The 11th was overthrown buy 5 or so yards.

At the end of the day, he did have over 100 yards, could have had one TD, maybe two.

I would still have him on my team. The rest of the WR, supposedly a strength before the year started, is again an issue.

Revis is not overrated....although he raped Marshall on the pick 6. Vontae gets a piece of Holmes' jersey and gets flagged.
