Richie Incognito Knocks Out Bouncer at Club Liv (incorrect title)

Here is another twist to the story. Apparently the security guard that punched Incognito was Carlos Joseph, the former Miami Hurricane offensive lineman. He is also part of the Hurricanes scandal involving Nevin Shapiro.

what is that scandal Nublar? I know nothing about it.

But hey, just what I was thinking. ESPN and Sheffy go of half ****ed and somebody else has to go in hiding.

Heh. I'm sure he's thrilled to be in the news again.

Why is it that Richie has a problem getting in fights everywhere??? He earned a reputation as a troublemaker and a dirty player, at Nebraska and with the Rams, and now he has to live with that. Antonio Smith seemed to have started things between the two of them last Saturday and none of us know the truth about what happened at the Fountainbleu, but as Tony Dungy said, "You never hear about players going to the library and bad things happening."

The Police corrobated what Richie said, he was breaking up a fight.
We do know what happened: Beasley did a better job than Schefter at being a reporter. There is no story here.
Just ESPN being a crappy network as always.

It's not his job to break up a bar fight. What if he got his arm broken in doing so? Our line would be in even worse shape than it is now. Players have to be smart and think about things like that.

So, can someone spin me up on this in a nutshell so I don't have to wade through 10 pages of
stuff? I was both an offensive lineman that played "dirty", and a bouncer. Maybe I have insight :ponder:

I don't like Incognito. He talks so much you would think he's a ten time All Pro. He's a decent right guard, but a below average left guard. He's not the kind of player that Coach Philbin will put up with for very long.

ESPN spinned a story about Cogs fighting a guy.
A Herald reporter meanwhile did his job and found that aforementioned story is a non-story.

@AdamHBeasley: I gotta say, if ESPN had simply called Miami Beach PD for the police report, this would be a far different story.

I'd bet against that. You need one Dirty Ritchie on any line.

Below average pro bowl lg.... Dont see many of those. not a fantastic fit in our system but hes a good player

It may not be his job, but when I bounced at The Silver Dollar, a truckstop bar in Frederick, MD many moons ago, it was
pretty common for the locals (I was in the Army) to break up fights and eject the aggressor before I could get from the door
to whatever section of the bar the fight was in.

I agree it's not super smart, but it's not uncommon, and I'd say it's most people's reflex reaction.

whatever dude. go route for someone else would ya? you never have anything positive to say about anything the dolphins do. Never never never.

Its always the same.

Nice try though. bowing out of what you absolutely have no clue what your talking about. Because you weren't even there!

Alright I will bite! First and foremost I will remain a Dolphins fan for life! I constantly give praise and support when warranted! What I don't indulge in is myopic views that my team does no wrong and makes no mistakes. When they are good I say it, when they are bad I say it, when a move pans out I praise, when it doesn't I critique. There is more then being a fan then following like a sheep! I do however owe you a apology you don't sing blind praise to everything Dolphins, you constantly criticize the fan base and town promoting moving the team.

Now as far as the incident at hand nope I wasn't there and neither were you! So for you to claim nothing happened and Richie is innocent is no more right then you claim I am wrong! However looking at the evidence and the fact that a trespass warrant was issue tells me that Richie was not innocent. Despite what members on finheaven claim law enforcement just doesn't hand them out. I have a fair share of time working in the bar and night club industry both putting myself through school and supplementing my income in the early years of my career. Some of those night clubs catered to the type of clientele Incognito would fall into. IE athlete/celebrity those guys tend to patronize the same places for various reasons usually a management that takes care of them by keeping them in a nice VIP area and discression. The fact that police came tells me the incident was a bit more then the average bar fight. The last thing the bar manager wants is to scare off his high dollar clients and if memory serves me correct this is the same bar Daunte Stallworth was at the night of his DUI manslaughter. So it tells me the management had some interest in deescalating the situation.

But you are right I wasn't there and once again neither were you. But seeing how Richie got his ass trespassed my theory hold a little more water then yours of he did nothing

Innocent people get trespass warrants because they really mean nothing kind of like a parking ticket.

I never worked at any high dollar places, but the principal is the same. I agree with you. If we trespassed a customer, they did something
to deserve being trespassed, even through we didn't press charges for what they did the first time, if it was in the power. The owner simply didn't
want the liability, and let sleeping dogs sleep. "Get out, don't come back. If you do, we'll have you arrested" pretty much in a nutshell.
