If you're talking about the "Promised Land," I beg to differ.

No I am not. I'm pointing out his sig where it says 'the one player that can take us to the promised land'. There isn't such thing as one player who can do that and he should know better then that.

Leftwich!

I'm in full agreeance with 87 here. If Ricky runs for 1800 yards (something no other 'Fin has ever done) then I'd have no problem with that #32 pick the 'Fins will have (hopefully) in the first round going to the Saints. :goof:

Besides, you may have forgotten but we still have McNown sitting on the bench and he can be a very good, if not great, QB in this league.

COME ON SAINTS, GIVE HIM UP AND LET YOUR DEUCE RUN WILD!

Browns Pull out of Ricky Trade

From KFFL

Browns | No Ammunition - posted at KFFL (http://nfl.kffl.com)
15:36 PT: Clark Judge reports for Fox Sports the Cleveland Browns may not be involved in the trade talks for New Orleans Saints RB Ricky Williams, according to team president Carmen Policy. He said it's not a lack of interest in Williams, but the lack of the right firepower to trade for Williams. New Orleans wants at least a first-round draft pick for Williams, and the Browns aren’t interested in giving up the 17th overall choice in this year’s NFL Draft. Contrary to published reports, Policy said the team never discussed or contemplated giving up the draft pick for Williams. “We have an interest in Ricky Williams but not enough to offer a first-round draft pick,†said Policy.

HE WILL BE A DOLPHIN:jumper:

Great News

Thats some great news right there. Now, since Browns are no longer in the running, its almost guaranteed we will get Ricky, and could happen even earlier than Friday, since the Saints have no other choices to look that.

even better!

Browns | Focus On Hearst Now? - from KFFL (http://nfl.kffl.com)
March 5, 2002 15:39:36 PT Clark Judge reports for Fox Sports the Cleveland Browns may turn their attention to free agent RB Garrison Hearst (49ers), now that it looks like they will not complete a trade for Saints RB Ricky Williams. As noted earlier, Hearst is visiting Cleveland Tuesday and Wednesday. "If there is an offer it won’t be before Wednesday, team president Carmen Policy said. “I think there is a good chance of signing him,†said Policy, “but it depends on the money Garrison wants and how we can structure the deal.â€Â

finally, a running game that rocks!
:band:

not over till its over

Hey....

We still haven't completed the trade yet so don't get too happy. We probably will, but until we do, just don't get your hopes up too high because anything can happen in the NFL.

What happened to the "mystery team" that was interested in obtaining Ricky Williams?

Miami must seal the deal!!

OUTSTANDING article Robert....I couldn't agree more. :)

Well done.

:monkey: Jets.

If Cleve. sighns Hearst we should go back to our original offer to NO. The balls in our court, it`s our serve and the`ve dropped their racket! It`s time to play hardball!!:fire:

NO!!! We shouldn't revert back to the old offer. We need to quit playing around with this, and just get it done. The BALL is, and always has been in New Orleans court!!

I Agree Completely

The 'Fins have to strike while the iron's hot, grab the bull by the horns, just do it, dive in, and any other cliche' you can fit in here. Let it happen now.
