ricky trade soon

I know this is a goofy thread suggesting Ricky for Carr but who in their right mind would trade for Ricky? How many 1st rd picks can teams trade for this underachiever? I guess you might be able to get a 4th or 5th rounder for him but what's the point?

Yep, I like the Ricky for the longterm 1-2 punch thing too. HOWEVER........if we do decide to trade him after this year, I say we do it for a promising QB (Ragone?), or a 1st or 2nd round pick. I see Jordan being a flop in Oakland, them having a top 10 pick again, and with Norval out there we'd probably have a willing trade partner. Either way, if things followed this line of scenario, I think we'd be in very good shape. :hi5:

Ricky Williams has no trade value at this point at time. You have to figure if Shaun Alexander and Edge can't be traded for a 2ND ROUND PICK (two ELITE backs in the game today), then we'd get very little if ANYTHING for Ricky at this time because no one knows where he is physically, nobody knows where he'll ever be mentally, and one would question his loyalty, motives, and maturity. So as of this time, Ricky Williams has NO TRADE VALUE. And the Houston Texans won't be treading David Carr, let alone for Ricky Williams so that's just ridiculous. I doubt you could even pull that off in Madden. But what I think Saban is going to do... or is doing is, he's going to play Ricky this season and show the rest of the league if he still has it physically and if he can still be a monster on the field and win football games and he's going to use this season to show the league that Ricky is a changed man and changed for the better. That's the only way Ricky could get TRADE VALUE for Ricky and I think that's what Saban is going to do. But like everyone, we'll just have to wait and see. But I can promise you, there won't be any Ricky trade anytime soon. But than again... There's always the Oakland Raiders, so I won't say NEVER.

that's why we still have Henry. Henry has more value than RW at this moment. Henry is a lesser risk than RW.

It's a very valid point but Arizona has supposedly expressed interest in RW's. Minnesota is also rumored to be interested in a Rb. That's two teams, and camps are not even open yet. I would expect Henry to be gone before the season if Buffalo really wants to unload him.

What is Henry's contract status?

Wicky said he only wanted to play for 2 more years. Who in their right mind would give up a 1st or 2nd for Wicky when he only want to play until he is 30?

Wicky has no trade value and will just play out the remainder of his contract with us.....

Henry is also a lesser boom than Ricky!! RW led the NFL in rushing w/the worst O line in the NFL.

I hope and pray we keep him, he has GOD given talent, and he can teach Ronnie what to look for and how to be patient. RW is not a bad guy, and teammates loved him until he decided carrying the ball 30 times a game would leave him like Elway in the near future. Hate him for deciding so late to walk away, but do not deny that he is a top back in the league!

If a team landed him for a 3rd it would be the steal of a lifetime. If Jordan goes down in Oak and Mia could land a first for him, then OK, otherwise Miami needs to keep him. There are no guarantees' in the game except that you will need more than 1 back on your team! Depth is needed that is a gurantee!!!!

Henry is still a good Rb.

That Oline was a good run blocking line that RW's ran behind. Todd Wade, Todd Perry, and Jamie Nails were good run blockers. The line was nothing great by no means, but there main problem was pass protection.

A third round pick for a quack case is a steal for Miami, and they should jump all over it if someone offers. A steal for the team trading for him would mean he plays 5 more years, which aint happening.

Edge, and Alexander also want 40 million dollar, five year deals. The rest I can agree with, but you never know how desperate a cap strapped, good team might be, if they happen to lose their star running back.

Has Speilman landed a GM job anywhere? :)

perhaps ricky can be of some worth to the dolphins after all.i think our best bet is to ship ricky out to the texans for Car .that way we can solve a problem at qb and still be competavive for the next few seasons.Car has worn out his welcome in texas and perhaps a change of teams would help him
where or who do you think would take a chance on ricky?and for what price:goof:

Oh I see......you want to trade him for A CAR, hence the spelling, now I get it. Depends on what kind though. Don't think we could get anything newer than a '98.
