Exactly. It's nice to see SOMEBODY around here gets it.

I'm not hoping for anything, I am HAPPY he's back b/c the chances are much greater he'll be a distraction than actually help you on the field. The man made it clear he did not love football, he said over and over in interviews he was done and then the owing the Dolphins $6mil(or whatever it is) came up and all of a sudden he wants back in. Let's also not forget that in 5 seasons he has ONE great year and 4 mediocre years including a less than mediocre 3.5 YPC in his last season. His agent has already said he will report but he is not playing for the minimum like the dolphins think he is.inFINSible said:No he did not. He made it clear that he loves the game and hates the business.
Once he's on the field, he's in his element and you'll see the same Ricky that's always played hard and fierce. He's not going to half-a$$ it for a paycheck.
Although, I can see why you hope he will....

It's fact, look up the #s. It's also fact that only 1 of Ricky's teams has ever made the playoffs and that team did it after Ricky was hurt in the 10th game.DrAstroZoom said:OMG ... if I hear you trot that lame-as$$ supposition out one more time, I think my head's going to explode.
DrAstroZoom said:I have already looked up the numbers and waved them in your face in a thread ages ago. Your response was to basically stick your fingers in your ears and went "LA LA LAAAA." I'm not going to waste my time again.

I'm done. Go back to your reality in which finishing in the top 10 in the league in three rushing categories is mediocre. Send me a post card.
nyjunc said:He's only been top 5 once in rushing yards yet he has been #1 twice in attempts. is trhat a good thing? And the 2 other years he finished top 10 he was 8 & 10. That's the bottom, that is not great it is good.
nyjunc said:You didn't prove anything, his #s are average if you take away 2002. He was spectacular in 2002 but outside of that 1 year he has been average and the #s prove that.

He ran behind a sub-par line for two years. Given that. those stats are very good.
inFINSible said:All I'm going to say is that you need to go back and look up what he actually said. When you find where he said he doesn't want to play anymore because he doesn't love the game, we can continue this, otherwise I'm not going to waste my time debating someone who doesn't know what he's talking about.
"I just don't want to be in this business anymore," Williams told the paper. "I was never strong enough to not play football, but I'm strong enough now. I've considered everything about this. Everyone has thrown every possible scenario at me about why I shouldn't do this, but they're in denial. I'm happy with my decision.
"I'm finally free. I can't remember ever being this happy."

Sounds like a guy who loves football to meThen all of a sudden he is bankrupt and wouldn't you know he regains his love for the game.
This is what you found??"I just don't want to be in this business anymore," Williams told the paper. "I was never strong enough to not play football, but I'm strong enough now.
