Rishard Matthews trade speculation.

This would be foolish IMO. Hartline hasn't looked great. Gibson has looked good but is coming off an injury, and despite all the hype Landry is an unproven rook.

As he proved last year when Gibson went down, Matthews can step up and make the big catches on 3rd down.
 
Sure sounds like this teams too high on Williams at wr...6th wr ok whatever but play him over Mathews? Nah

Too many smurfs in this wr core if you let Mathews go unless you get a real contributor from the get go
 
All the article is doing is saying that with our WR depth (been awhile since you could say that huh?) It would be worth looking into trading for TE depth. The article also mentions Gibson as a possibility.
 
I agree that Matthews is a much better fit in this offense than Hartline. I honestly wouldn't care if we cut Hartline. Most overrated (by fans) player on the team.
 
The writer is only speculating that Matthews MIGHT be shopped, no real evidence that the team is even considering that option.

My guess is they keep 6 WRs this season including Matthews and Williams.

I would not be happy with this trade, I'm also on the 6th WR bandwagon
 
I don't get why they would consider moving Matthews for a late round pick. Hartline has not looked right all offseason, Matthews might be needed for big playing time.

Matthews is right up there with Hartline in being overrated by the fans.
 
This would irk me a little, sure we have other pressing needs, but I would rather keep the depth we have. Seems that folks have already forgotten about the poor shape we was in at WR just a few years ago.
 
Good luck getting a team to trade you a quality lb...they just dont

Maybe a Jon bostic from Chicago but their lb core has no depth also...the Rutgers kid is horrible

if you don't know, I know you don't watch the games. He bobbled a pass against Carolina last year that
got intercepted. He can't block. Rizzi was on him about the blocked punt against Dallas. His routes are not diciplined. He drops passes.
How is he not inconsistent?
