Rishard Matthews trade speculation.

Cleveland's entire wr core other than josh Gordon is garbage...Mathews would be the 2nd wr on that team easy

Ray Farmer pulled an Ireland and drafted a QB (who IMO is worse than Tannehill by a long shot) and put no weapons around him lol. Gotta say I'm glad we dodged that bullet. Any GM that drafts a QB, regardless of the evaluation on the QB, and doesn't put weapons around him should be fired on the spot.

I'm not helping the city of Cleveland out with anything. I don't trade them anybody that can help them.

I don't doubt that and agree U just did not agree he would be their best. I don't even doubt they would trade a late round pick for Matthews but if you are trading a higher pick there are much better receivers to add

Why do some people assume Rishard Matthews is some kind of hot commodity other teams want to expend draft picks for? :ponder::idk:

Hawkins is a solid pro slot if he can stay healthy...after that Austin's corpse and camp fodder pretty much

I bet that manziel gets run in pistol and read option packages every week as a change of pace though...they are gonna musical chairs the qb play...at least looks that way to me...every week a manziel specific package

Hometeam it is. Matthews is a decent wr for what he is but u don't trade anything above a late pick for what he gives u.
Its the same mindset that has people thinking that Moore would garner u more than a 6th or a 7th.
These are not the guys that you trade mid round picks for.

Yeah I'm fairly certain no matter who you trade him to unless it's a player for player thing it's a day 3 return and more likely later day 3...Mathews hasn't done enough yet to get first 2 day draft pick return

They better do whatever they can cause that offense looks pretty bad and that head coach and GM better know they're on the clock. Haslem already fired last years coach and GM after just one season.

The right tackle is leaky also...I actually think that if they use manziel in specific package play that they are better off qb wise with what they have than many teams...but without Gordon u sit on Cameron and the run game and they are screwed when hoyers playing

Manziels finding out you can't just outflank nfl speed...not when you are a 4.65 guy yourself

Never once wanted Ray Farmer as GM, although I can say the same about Hickey.
Farmer is put in a tough spot by Gordan though. Even with Gordan they should have added a receiver.
their free agent strategy at wr seems a puzzling endeavor.
I would wait for cuts instead of trading anything for Matthews.
Armon Binns went to Cinncinnati for college so he might be worth a look.

If binns was in that Cleveland camp from the get go he'd be on that browns 53 man roster and active on game day...no doubt...but he's also not much of a difference maker...that teams 2 quality nfl wrs way from being ok at the spot...binns should always be a fringe 53 man roster wr if you have quality depth

If this offense gets to the chip Kelly level in Philly where we run no huddle like they are doing now after a year in it I don't think you need a Brian hartline at all....the scheme will get more production out of guys than their talent really is...I see it in Philly all over that wr core

Smart and disciplined is exactly the type of receiver you need to run a good uptempo. I believe the reason we haven't been able to get it done is we have too many dunces on the team as it is. *Cough* Wallace *cough*

Maybe related but Armando was speculating something was going down a few days ago as Hickey and Dawn were feverishly working the phones the other day at practice.

They knew about Gordon before the draft. Even so, they knew they needed more WR help besides Gordon. They gave up the #4 overall pick to Buffalo and Buffalo took Sammy Watkins, granted they got a lot in return for the trade up but it all depends on what they do with it. They also had the 8th pick and took Justin Gilbert at CB. They had plenty of chances to get another WR but decided not to.

Carolinas in the same wr boat as Cleveland...I don't know how you just come out with what they have...Benjamin has showed well especially with all the hands off rules he better hope they don't loosen up on with Dbs but they got corpses in cotchery and avant as the 2 and 3 options...good luck cam newton
