Rohan Davey (NE - QB)
News: Rohan Davey continues to struggle with accuracy in Patriots camp.
Impact: We think he could be dealt this month to the highest bidder. Both Nick Saban and Romeo Crennel may be interested in giving up a mid-to-late round pick for Davey.

I'd rather keep Sage if it's going to cost us a draft pick.

I am pretty sure that Saban will go after him, I actually expected him to get him next year when he was a FA. On the other hand, if the Patsies release him, you need some confidence to grab him as he really seems to struggle.
Only thing I can say is that in NFL Europe he looked awesome. But that is NFL Europe ...

i wouldnt want to give up anymore picks, id wait to see if they release him then jump on him

If he is released...I'm sure Saban would be interested...even if he is settled on a QB by that time, Rohan would be a developmental guy that Saban covets and possibly be ready to compete next year...Rohan, if released would have a difficult time getting a starting job anywhere...unless released very soon...

I doubt that Saban will expend a draft choice on him, but stranger things have happened...

IF he's still struggling with accuracy after being in the league a few years, why do we want him?

ROHAN DAVEY? Yea, theres our savior at QB. :shakeno:

I think Saban is going to stick with what we have at QB. If Feeley doesnt pan out, then we have a vet with Frerotte to play QB this year. SanDiego has Rivers and Brees, and its a good bet Brees will be on the trading block next year. If Brees has another good year, I would rather trade a higher draft pick and get a pro bowl guy in his prime than take on another development player in Davey. Also, with a year under our belt with the new system and the players we have, it looks like our main weakness for next year will be at QB on offense. With our WR corps at around 27 years old and a very young Oline and MAYBE Ricky and Ronnie running full speed next year, a developmental QB doesnt really fit in as a 27 year old pro bowl guy in his prime does.

if aj starts and he falters i want saban to give sage a chance at trying to be qb of this team. screw gus.

Very good idea

Why do we want a guy who is slow at reading the defense and can't show accuracy? I would perfer to wait until next year for a QB that can do that stuff.

he's just another second string QB. What we need is a starting QB. We already have three second string QBs
