Hasn't Rohan Davey beaten out of his backup spot by a 40 odd year old Flutie?.... I believe that says it all about Daveys chances of being a quality starter in the nfl :shakeno:

We missed making the AFC Title Game b/c of a K, we didn't have quite as many holes as you guys so taking the K was a good thing and certainly better than shipping out a 2 for a 3rd string QB.
 
Davey is physically gifted...he has a much stronger arm than anybody on our roster right now. Problem is he doesn't have the "football smarts" to put that arm to good use. It's a shame really, I thought he finally put it together when he lit up the Europe league...but that doesn't seem to be the case. I seriously doubt Saban will use a draft pick on him. (but might give him a look if he's cut)

you don't waste a 2nd rd pick on a 3rd string QB and you don't waste a 3rd rd pick on a 3rd string RB. If we had a better K we would have been 1 win away from the Super Bowl, K's are very important. ask New England, they won 3 SB's all by a FG. K's are vitally important, you guys have had a good one for a long time so maybe you don't understand but if you went through what we did last year you might.

Really? Minny would have picked him a few slots later. he would not even have made it to our 2nd pick of the 2nd rd.

Funny, Oakland thought they were a kicker away from a superbowl a few years ago when they drafted Sebastion Jan. in the 1st round. Hopefully it pans out for you like it did for them :tongue:

To be fair, if San Diego's rookie kicker had made a kick you wouldn't be even thinking about the AFC championship game.
