if davey gets released and both are avaliable to us who would you rather see in a fins uni

Davey....

He's younger, he knows what coach saban expects out of his players, and he has more upside than Couch as well....

PHINZ RULE!!!

Uh, no. It's not even close. I'd rather we have a player who sucks just in the regular season, as opposed to Davey, who sucks in any football situation in which the majority of the players have long term prospects in the game.

Couch, But truthfully I could care less about that as long as Gus looks like he is adequate. Why bother? Rebuild this year and pick up a QB that fits Linehan's system in next years draft.

Couch, and that's just being honest. Couch has more potential in his non-throwing arm than Davey in his whole body.

Disappointing quarterbacks can be useful in caretaker offenses. In his previous situation in Cleveland he was asked to be the man. Are either Gus Frerotte or AJ Feeley being asked to be the man? No, they're just asked to get the ball into the hands of our fantastic core of pass catchers (Chambers, Booker, Boston, McMichael, and now Ronnie Brown). Where you'll see a Tim Couch have success is in a program where he is not asked to be the man. He's not good enough to make a ton of things happen on his own.

I agree, plus Davey is being beaten out by a rookie, who really has not played since HS!

Not to go overboard praising Davey, but I think the deck is stacked against him. Cassell is being given the opportunity to beat Davey for a reason, and I think Belichick might be doing a solid for his boy Saban by having Davey not play his way out of a job in New England.

But I'd still take Couch over him. Question is would I take Couch over Feeley, Rosenfels, or even Berlin. That's a tougher question...

Couch took a pretty unfair pounding in Cleveland. They never had a consistent running game nor consistent Recievers. Butch Davis is an A-hole and drove that team into the ground basically pulling a Wanny. Couch has an amazing upside if his arm healed and if placed in the right system he could very well be the man. Last I saw of him though in GB his confidence was gone. Realistically I'd prefer to draft a qb, but we never seem to find the necessity since we passed on Loseman, Brees, Orton, and the list goes on... I'm getting even more bitter now about Orton. Watch as he gets his chance this year and becomes Chicago's qb of the future with Benson his RB.

I thought the majority of Phinz fans here were high on Davey, and were hoping he'd be released so Saban could grab him???...

Now that Couch has entered the picture, he sucks??....

I'm alittle confused here....

PHINZ RULE!!!

I think this is a case where the noisy minority gets confused with the majority

I never wanted Davey, was never high on him, I'm not really high on Couch either, but I'm higher on Couch then Davey! :couch2:

is everyone forgetting that we are talking about people who got CUT! Why would we want another horrible quarterback, we already have a team full of them. We need to just get through this year with what we got and pay the big bucks next season!
