What sucks is that we'll likely be watching this guy coach another NFL team to the playoffs next year and all we'll get is the usual excuses. "Oh, he inherited a ton of talent. Philbin just needs one more year. Everybody knows it takes ___ years to turn a team around."
People have kept telling me that they 'don't want to take a chance' on Malzahn because he was coaching high school a few years ago.
When a guy who was coaching high school a few years ago is straight up clowning on the #1 ranked team in the nation in the national championship game, you'd rather stick with a guy who reads his postgame speeches off of index cards prepared by the team's VP? :sidelol:
Sometimes I think our fanbase deserves this.
