Ross asked by league to postpone meeting with Martin

I'ma keep sayin it and keep sayin it and keep sayin it: STEVE ROSS IS PROBLEM #1.
While I agree with you 100 percent there isn't a damn thing anyone can do about getting him fired, believe me I know, I am stuck in the same situation with the NY METS

The NFL can and should step in and assist him in landing a quality Director of Football operations. They did it with the NY Giants in 1977. And guess which team's personnel guy the Giants took. Miami Dolphins' George Young. I bet most of you Dolphin fans didn't know that.

I certainly didn't. I can definitely se that happening. Miami, regardless of what it's current impressions are publicly, are an important franchise. They just need to be run better. I honestly don't blame Ross. I think he expected his people to do a better job. Hopefully, this time around his hands won't be completely tied and he'll get the right people in here.

But start comeplete clean. From top to bottom on the football side of things.

Oh, and for Christ's sake, take off that carnival stuff on the outside of the ramps around the stadium. No wonder people think we're a circus!

When you are an owner, your hands are NEVER tied. His problem is evident. He knows nothing about football. I am very disappointed that the other owners approved the sale of the Dolphins to him when he has so little knowledge of the game.

What did Huizenga know about football before owning the Dolphins? Wanny was a Huizenga hire. So was Spielman, Saban, Cameron, and Parcels/Sparano/Ireland.

The ONLY mistake Ross has made is that he hasn't cleaned house completely already.

Jimmy Johnson was a Huzienga hire and Huzeinga let him pick his successor.
What do u mean the only mistake Ross has made is hasnt cleaned house.

1-He tried to chase after Harbaugh without an opening, then basically lied about intentions
2-Then gave Sparano an extension for no reason.
3-Hired Philben
4-Gave Ireland an extension

Who's to say Ross picked the day/time he was to meet with Martin? To me it almost seems like he was waiting for them to tell him when they would meet with him? So it wouldn't be him trying to talk with Martin before Wells did. If that is the case, put the "blame" on Martins camp for their scheduling....

Two differences between them. 1) Huizenger was a TRUE SOUTH FLORIDIAN who was a Dolphin fan for YEARS and went above and beyond to get the best Coaches he could. 2) He also owned other sports franchises prior to buying the Dolphins. Your second point is correct. Ross should have cleaned house when he fired Sparano.
