Ross sending a message that he accepts mediocrity and failure

The Browns didn't go backward under Chud. The Browns have finished 4-12 or 5-11 every year for like five straight years. The Browns were 3-0 with Brian Hoyer starting at QB. The Browns were 1-12 with Brandon Weeden and Jason Campbell starting at QB.

The Browns had no offensive personnel AT ALL other than Josh Gordon and Jordan Cameron. NONE. Nobody. NOTHING.

Chud was set up to fail and scapegoated for the incompetence of the team's front office.

Our "great" and "genius" owner has already made it crystal-clear that he's cool with mediocrity and failure. After all, he retained and extended Sparano after 2010 and kept Ireland around after 2011.

Now he's just being consistent.

The Texans, Skins and Vikings were given ample time to fix the team, they could not and deserve to be fired, Firing Chud after one season will make any good prospect think twice about taking that job, who wants to go to a place were you lose your starting QB for the yr, the best WR doesn't play his first game until week 2 has his starting RB traded mid season and you get canned in the first yr before you can have your first full off season and draft? IMO when you hire a coach you have to give him at least 3 yrs to get the job done unless he has a 1-15 or 0-16 type season.....

IMO this should have been done last week......

its only noon.. im sure Schwartz wasn't the last firing of the day.

Chud is like reverse Gary Kubiak. Kubiak, in a sense, got fired because he kept starting a quarterback that was killing his team. Chud got himself fired because he kept being forced to start a ****ty quarterback he didn't want when the other guys got hurt.

Most of those guys that have been fired have had significantly worse seasons to Miami. It is hard to compare the two.

I am for getting a new GM and letting them handle the coaching decisions.

and I guess Philbin gives Miamians a wicked boner? well... Ross anyway

The Glaziers don't sit around and watch the season ticket base dwindle! They spent millions buying back blackouts etc they know winning pays. In not saying they are great owners but I am saying they aren't going to sit around and do nothing!

I don't know if you can find it worse than this:

Week 15, need to win 2 more games against losing teams with nothing to play for in order to secure playoff berth, lose both by only scoring 7 points total.

There isn't a WORSE failure by a team in the NFL this season this side of Detroit or DC.

Chud got ****ing hosed in Cleveland I can only think a serious falling out between him and management! To fire a guy after you had a week 2 fire sale makes no sense!

Uhm.

The Bucs have had a TON of blackouts recently because the Glazers are more interested in their soccer club than the Bucs. I'm sorry, but if you're looking to find worse NFL ownership than what we have, the Glazers are like Exhibit A of how not to run a team.

Not this season the glaziers bought out blackout rights would you like to see all my bar tabs because I was forced to watch Dolphins at a Sports bar because Bucs lock up when they are on? There was a time yes that the Glaziers left the Bucs to Grueden and Allen while they bought Manchester United, but they are now investing heavily in Bucs and local market.

Shouldn't you get fired after being handed the keys to the kingdom this offseason when the team fails to improve? Where is the accountability? Then again, where has it ever been for Ireland?

The bucs play on fox, the dolphins only played on fox twice this year. Not sure how the bucs would interrupt a dolphins game other than those two games.
