Now pull up stats for all the other Dolphin QB's since Marino retired. Not looking so bad now, huhh?

There is no doubt that Tannehill's long ball suffered this year. Going back and looking at some Texas A&M film it looks like he threw a lot of his long balls from rollouts. He was able to set his feet, step into it, and let it fly. I don't think there is an issue with his arm or his ability to judge distance and receiver speed. I think he may have a release and or set up problem in the pocket. Should get better with better coaching. If not maybe the haters are right.
Even though I believe this fication on Ryan's stats this early in his career is premature he must improve throwing to a wide open receiver down the right sideline. maybe it's his hip as the article suggest. When he's on the move or throwing across this body to the left he's fine. . Hopefully they'll correct the problem.
Plus I'd move Wallace to the left side several times a game to make it easier on him.
It's a conspiracy.
Personally, Id like to see some of these numbers on TRUE deep balls. Lets see the numbers on throws over 35 or 40 yards.
People also need to keep in mind, that not all throws are the same. Sometimes throws this deep are attempted on hail mary throws or simply guys taking deep shots even when a guy is covered. What I would really love to see is the numbers on deep throws when an NFL QB has a WR WIDE OPEN deep. I would be willing to bet Tannehill's numbers are quite disturbing compared to other NFL caliber QBs.
And yes for the stat doubters....... that comes from watching games. I dont even know the stats on it, but just from watching the games I know Tannehill would be near the bottom and possibly the worst at missing wide open WRs deep down the field. I know this because I watch a lot of NFL games. When WRs get open deep, dudes dont miss in the league. Tannehill struggles though.
Would you be happy if you wind up being wrong about Tanny?
You mean if he stopped playing so poorly and all of the sudden became a good QB?
If that is your question then the answer is of course I would. All I want is the team to WIN. And win BIG. Im not so much talking about SBs, I just want to go back to when we were a factor on a regular basis. We need a damn good QB to do that. Tannehill has played poorly. Thats why I want to bring in someone else for the job.
