Saban & Mcmicheal

Wow. That's what I love about this site. Where else do you get fans who remember so much

I could honestly not give a crap if he spent his free time robbing 7/11s at gunpoint. What matters to me is that he's a really good player that means a whole lot to this offense. Also, remember the camp footage where he put the journalist in his place, when asked if he was going to hold out for a new contract?

I could understand it if he kicked her ***, but my god, he hit her with a piece of cardboard and everyone wants to cut him? Keep him, he's a good player and a leader.

Sigh... :shakeno:

He has to be heavily fined... Saban cant let our 'big name' guys walkover him. He has to be seen to be doing something, if that means a suspension then so be it.

The guy has an issue with hitting his wife- it's the second time he's done it. Whether he lightly slaps her or beats her within an inch of her life doesn't really matter to me. YOU DON'T HIT WOMEN. PERIOD. END OF STORY.

Of course if a woman comes at me with a large knife I should just take the stabs and not defend myself. I may be dead, but at least I am not a wife beater :D

I am just pulling your leg, I know that's not what you mean.

Depends on if the charges are dropped. I mean the guy is letting Ricky comeback. If the charges are dropped than why should he be suspended? It depends on what happens further along, we're talking about one of the best tight ends in the NFL, i'm sure alot worse goes on that nobody hears about and he'll help the team win games.
"letting ricky comeback" has nothing to do with suspending someone for hitting his wife.

we HAVE to take ricky back if we want any return on our investment. ricky is already going to be suspended for 4 games.

i think Saban should suspend McMike.... for 3-4 games. why? because this is not his first time, and Saban needs to lay down the law. don't f@#k around on this team. we dont' need problem players.

This message will tell McMike to straighten up, and he'll learn a lesson. fines don't mean crap to these players - playing time will. If McMike gets suspended, i guarantee you this will hurt him more than a fine, guarantee.

suspend his a$$!

EDIT: the "you should never hit a woman" idea is old and out-moded. that USED to work in the old days when women were classy and prized. Now, women use that to their advantage and talk smack, hit first, and all kinds of other ****. I think the second a woman decides she wants to slap or hit you, all bets are off. and the laws should be changed accordingly. women have come to realize this "power" and abuse it all the time, it HAS to stop.

come on man, are you serious?

you look at the worst teams in the league, and see all the players getting in trouble with the law.

then look at the best.....

i don't care how great the player is on the field - you don't want an arrest record in your locker room thats longer than your win record.

i just read the actual article.

i have to admit i have to give McMike props.... he hit his wife with a piece of cardboard in a 1984 Cadillac Fleetwood.... LoL.

are you serious? wow, what an odd headline that would make.

charges:

Disorderly conduct
Aggravated Assault
Battery with a cardboard weapon
Domestic / Spousal Abuse
Public Intoxification (bible belt)
refusing to take a breathalyzer...

anyways...just having fun...

An exaggeration of course, but I honestly do not think we should suspend him for assault with a cardboard weapon. That I don't give a crap about. Get him and his wife some councelling or something, but don't suspend him over something like that.

Saban shouldn't cut or suspend Mcmichael. He should sit him down and talk to him as a man, rather than a coach. Tell him hes a 6'3 250 lb man and hitting a women is a cowardly act. Both of these incidents have involved alcohol. Maybe Randy shouldn't be drinking if it leads to violence, or he has a drinking problem. If thats the case he should seek help for alcohol/anger management. Randy just got struck 2. Once he gets strike 3 he gets cut i say.

I want to win too- we all want to win. But I don't need a wife-beater on my team. This was his second offense- not his first- second. The guy's got a problem.

Where do you get "wife beater" ?? He threw a piece of cardboard that accidentally flew up and hit her in the face. Or at least that is what the story I read said. How is that beating your wife?? I think the bigger issue is the refusing to take the breath test. He admitting to drinking and if he was driving that could be a problem. The wife beating thing will only be an issue if she makes it an issue. I doubt that happens.

BINGO. I NEVER hear anything negative off the field coming from them. And look how much they win.

Not true Ty Law had some trouble with the Law a couple years back.

Mrs. McMichael, 22, told police she had accidental contact with Mr. McMichael as he was throwing some of her belongings out of their 1984 Cadillac Coupe de Ville. However, four witnesses told police they saw Mr. McMichael throw his wife from the car. One witness told police he saw the athlete throw his wife away from the vehicle several times, according to the report.

A witness told police that Mrs. McMichael's nose began bleeding after Mr. McMichael hit her in the face with what might have been a piece of cardboard, the report stated.

for her nose to bleed, it must have had some velocity on it, and it must have been pretty hard. Also, you can't excuse the fact that theres witnesses (and yes i understand the wifes not going by what the witnesses are saying) saying they saw him throw her out of the car.
