Anyone see Saban go up to Jason Allen at the end of the game? appeared to me that jason was upset about blowing another big play so a few ppl were looking at him and saban walked over to him and said a few words. curious to know what he said but allen had a towel over his head and appeared to be dissapointed
 
allen wants to be a great player in this league, and it may just be preseason for us fans, but for him, its his life. Blowing that play mean another week of it sitting in the back of his mind, another week of the fiilm in front of his face.

Allens gonna be good. Hes got the drive. Im glad hes upset about it, it'll push him to be better, it'll push him to be the best.

Hey, sabans a secondary specialist, and Jason Allen is his first round pick at safety.

If jason allen looks bad, so does saban. Because not only is allen a first rounder, hes the one thats supposed to be the shining star in sabans personally coached unit.

Allen has been disappointing so far. Not because he's getting burned, but because he's being burned by backups. He's getting embarrassed by players that might not even make their teams. Of course, the way he held out for all that cash, maybe he needed to be humbled some.
 
I just hope he can turn it around, because really, he doesn't look like a starter to me yet for the Pittsburgh game.

He got Carolina and then St. Louis to redeem himself. Let's get to work Jason.
 
The guys been in camp for 2 weeks and playing 2 positions. There's going to be adjustments ESPECIALLY with Saban's defense. The main thing to look at is that he's not getting beat due to lack of talent. So far it's all mental.

THAT part will come around.

This secondary will probably take a few games into the season to settle down. It'll also help when Daniels is back and Allen can focus on specifically playing safety.

What are you talking about, he hasnt looked THAT bad

Sure he has made a few mental errors (like the long TD) but its not like he is being physically overmatched, he's been hitting hard and tackleing well and his motor has been on non stop (other then when he got ran over down the sideline tonight, ouch)
 
he got absoluytely owned tonite by that rb after a little swing opass, jaws made a comment about finishing your run after the play. i like it he needs to get his hands dirty and realize what it takes to be successful. i wouldnt worry much about him and saban as we all know they go back a little ways im sure he understands nicks ways

he did? he got embarrased by Shepard tonight on one play?

who else embarrased him?
