Salguero: Ross may hire football czar

I was listening to Scott Pioli's radio show on my way to work and a caller called in and asked what he would do to fix the Dolphins if given the opportunity. He responded quickly, first pointing out that they have a few really good pieces in Philbin and Tannehill. He couldn't stop saying what a great coach Philbin is and how much potential Tannehill has. He then went on to say that he would first address the Oline, then add something to the secondary and get a RB. Bring in Pioli and get rid of Ireland! Things will run more smoothly and he knows what we have, and what we need!

Interesting.

Maybe so, but he had the right answers. Said Pouncey was the only member of the Oline that should start next season. Said Tannehill isn't great yet, but he sees the possibility for him to be really good. Said he talks to Philbin weekly and once interviewed him for a coaching position and said he is extremely smart. I don't care whose ass he kisses if he can fix this team.

I'm one of Ck's biggest fans and a supporter of him working for the Dolphins. But let's start in the organization with his recommendations to the GM. He lacks the experience to be GM.

Versus...the waterboy...

Marino may be an icon to the city of Miami but I honestly don't see him as the leader of a franchise. John Elway was a Stanford grad; high intelligence. Marino doesn't seem to me to be very insightful when speaking on CBS. I may be wrong, I just don't see him as being anything more than a figurehead who would get the position because he's loved by the city and the franchise.

I'd rather have Marino then all the stupid foks that have been in charge of my beloved dolphins the past 15 yrs.
