The idea is if teams develop more Black Offensive and Defensive coordinators (especially offfensive) Remember Mike McDaniel‘s father is black, then there should be a bigger pool of diverse candidates for head coaching jobs. However, If they reward the teams by giving them draft picks for hiring Black head coaches, then that might send the wrong message?

The 49ers defense is playing really well. The offense, though, has struggled. McCaffrey certainly could be a great addition for them.

Not sure how far SF can go with Jimmy G, but 9-8 seems like maybe the floor. Of course, so much depends on injuries.

FYI the SCOTUS is hearing a very important case on race-based, discrimatory enrollment practices at Harvard and UNC. The decision will impact all Affirmative Action practices in this country, including the NFL.
