Say goodbye to Jim Turner...

The dolphins definetly need better Psychological testing for the NFL draft

So I see stuff has hit the fan. Tomorrow I'd like to read the report, but from what I've read on twitter tonight it looks like there's quite a lot in there, and it doesn't look good for coaches or players. Turner.....I've been saying for a long time, even when I gave Incognito the benefit of a doubt, that it didn't make sense to me that he wouldn't have known about what went on, or that he couldn't have done something about it. He's garbage. He's the garbage Philbin hired, no NFL experience at all. I mean, how do you participate in all that? This isn't college, for christs sakes, and you don't harass people when it's your job to stop the distractions and get them focused on winning.

Not just Turner, but all of them, your O line is literally melting down...we were all wondering in fact how it could be that bad and what the hell was going on, and inside, THAT was going on. How does every coach not go to Philbin and say what the hell is going on with the offensive line? Gee, maybe you should LOOK INTO IT.

Read the report instead of making assumptions based off of Twitter.

I just read part of the AP story on the Wells report and the first thing I thought of was your thread title, OP (and that was before I had even clicked over to finheaven). So, you beat me to the punch here.

Miami actually continues to look shady and conniving by how they handled this. They knew this was coming and kept Turner just so they could publicly bury him now. Man, that's COLD!
No, they kept him around because if they would have let him go a few weeks ago, they would have had to pay him the balance of his contract. Now that the report has come out, they can fire him for conduct detrimental to the team and the league will go along with it. They will let him go and not have to pay the balance of his contract. I brought this up a few weeks ago when they hired Benton as the assistant line coach. I said they just hired Turners replacement and as soon as the report was made public, he would be gone. Pretty clever.

Turner was kept around to be the sacrificial lamb after the finding were released. They have already hired his replacement. The guy was a bone head for not controlling the players, and now for sticking around to be fired. What an idiot. He should have quit to save some element of respect.
You really think Turner is just a sacrificial lamb? I actually think that he does deserve to be fired. The decision to let a sociopath in Incognito be the dominant O-line team leader and entrust your 2nd round draft pick to him was a terrible decision. The treatment of player A by Pouncey and Jerry is disgusting. The language directed at the Asian Assistant Trainer. Now we hear Turner lying his way through questions from Ted Wells - he knew nothing. All of this happened under Turner's care. (Not to mention that the O-line did a poor job of protecting the QB).
And you seriously see Turner as a sacrificial lamb?

Trade for Alex Mack. Swap players plus a pick to sweeten the deal.

I don't see the browns making any trades with us anytime soon. Still some hard feelings after the Bess trade.

The Jim Turner firing is imminent, the Wells' report will be the icing on the cake. The front office already had a plan in place for firing Turner when they hired John Benton and Ben Martin. The entries on Kevin O'Neil surprised me, he should be replaced too. If Ross & Philbin wants to change the culture of the locker room, look no further than Turner and O'Neil.

I can't believe Turner survived the day. But I agree, he and O'Neill should get canned.

I am so sick of hearing this about Pouncey! Aaron Hernandez does not play or ever played with the miami dolphins ever! If you want to get rid of him based on the connection with Hernandez than I guess the Patriots should cut Brady too? The guy was his friend and he made a stupid mistake with the hat but let it go and stop harping on it as a reason you want to cut someone. And before you say it is not just Hernandez and it is the drugs allegations, where has been Pouncey been convicted of ANYTHING? stop having such a knee jerk reaction to everything.

If you wait until he's indicted, you get nothing for him.

I've read the first 47 pages so far. You can say goodbye to Jim Turner, and I'm thinking Kevin O'Neil (head trainer) could be fired as well. I'm just wondering if anything will happen with Pouncey.

His goose was cooked when they hired the OL coach from Houston.

I dont disagree that Pouncey will skate by...but im growing more and more alarmed by him. It seems like whenever theres something sketchy going on with the players of this franchise Pouncey is heavily involved.

Hernandez, drugs, Wells report...its all starting to add up. And while little can be definitively proven, its starting to paint a picture on the guy. The pattern of behavior doesnt strike me as a kid just having fun, but instead it seems like a guy who's personal problems are about to escalate and blow up his career. Despite his talent, i would not mind getting him off this roster as quickly as possible.

Its starting to add up to Pouncey is a probowler. yeah, take a few games away.....it happens all the time.

Darren Sharper is a great human however. apparently, nothing but great things from him.

ah, Davone Bess. Another Ireland bad move. te hee.

Yes why is turner still here, why hasn't he been fired already and when is Philbin going to make a statement???
Philbin is the one who brought in these coaches Sherman/ Turner......
and when the o-line was playing so poorly why didn't Philbin meet with the o line to see what the heck was going on
he just took Turners word???

Yeah, its not like Darren Sharper had any questionable instances before this arrest that could have been foreshadowing to future troubles...oh wait:

Sharper, once a star safety with the New Orleans Saints, is suspected of raping seven women in four states, all after offering them drinks laced with drugs, according to a court document submitted by a Los Angeles police officer investigating the case. The detective stated he suspected that Sharper also drugged additional people who accompanied these women, increasing the total suspected druggings to 11 cases combined since September.

Did get a laugh at the pro-bowl nod, as if making the pro-bowl is indicative of ones character at all.

Yea im deeply concerned with the fact that he is still on the staff. This guy should've been fired by now. This organization needs to straighten this out, every year it's something new that we're are being scrutinized for. Honestly I'm quite sick of it. Ross either needs to learn how to run an nfl team, or sell it to someone who does. Us fans don't deserve this mess
