Schefter: Ross wants Philbin, Ireland wants McCoy

Why is everyone over reacting? You are acting like these 2 are the first owner and GM to disagree on who to bring in as a head coach. This is just like at any other work place. People disagree on things all the time, yet when these two do it it is labeled dysfunctional. Give me a break.
 
Just listened to this again. Shefter just says, "There are people who believe..." So, basically, he is just pulling this out of his butt. Not even good enough news for him to say, "My sources say.."
 
Schefter is generally very accurate so there's probably some truth to this. But if you're Steve Ross and you've already chosen Jeff Ireland over Jim Harbaugh (admittedly, just a rumor) and Jeff Fisher, then why not let him pick the coach?

I predict they will meet in the middle and announce Bowles is the HC. This is ridiculous if they are at odds on who to hire at this point.
 
All speculation. And it's a good thing all of us in Fin Heaven agree on the coach we want, or else we'd all look like foolish clowns too.
 
So if Jeff Ireland picks his coach and he falls flat on his face does that mean Ireland and the coach are gone? Picking McCoy might be the quickest way to getting Ireland out of here.
 
This should be Irelands choice. Ross said that he will let football people make football decisions, and he needs to keep his promise and stay out of this.

Good thing Ross vetoed that deal for Orton though.
 
that doesn't have much substance, he says some people "feel" he wants Phil and Ireland wants McCoy....Anyoen can say that, I can say that off knowing ireland has McCoy ties via Henning and Ross didn't like Henning and wants an explosive offense ala Packers. Stupid news with no substance outside of that nonsense.

God people grow up, the fact is no one knows, Im sure schefters sources on Philbin side are telling him Ross like him & conversly McCoy's people are telling him Ireland likes him.
Because Im certain Ross nor Ireland picked the phone up and said "hey adam its jeff...yeah I like McCoy but the old man likes Philbin, ok later"

Get real, the fact that in any hiring situation its a positive to have 2 candidates you like, makes the decission tougher and more likely "not" to fail.

But Im past being a negative, gulliable believe everything I read/hear fan, I will see how this all plays out.
