Schefter: Ross wants Philbin, Ireland wants McCoy

Just think that with the "talent" we get to pick from we will more than likely get to re-live this fiasco again in 2 or 3 years. Seriously this is a joke if true. Amazing that someone with this kind of money has suck poor PR skills and lack of poker face in neg. Pure speculation on my part but from reading through the tea leaves left from all the reporting coming out must not be that far off. Miami is quickly becoming the joke of the NFL
 
This is pretty dysfunctional but who could blame Ross for making the decision after he had to step in to prevent Ireland from trading for and backing up the Brinks truck for Orton. I don't look at Ireland's decision making as all that objective; more like "who can I control and/or shift the blame to if things go bad"? I'm riding with the instincts of the multi billionaire deal maker on this one!
 
Why in the hell would anyone in the organization let this kind of information slip? The media is ridiculous.
 
If Ireland is the guy, and Ross has made it clear that he is. Ross already put all his eggs in the Jeff Ireland basket why would you stick him with a coach that he didnt want?

Doubt this is true, but even if so, since when does disagreeing make a committee dysfunctional? I disagree with my colleagues at the university on a daily basis. That doesn't make us dysfunctional. it just forces us to be more thorough. Much adieu about nothing...

He should have let him do it, then we can all point the finger at Ireland and sack him. Now there is no single person to hold accountable. Ross is picking coaches, and Ireland is picking players. One man needs to do both.

you know what bro alot on here saying we need a young coach , but every one is not really good enough to be head coach , and Fisher was bashed the hole time he was being interviewed by miami , saying hes no good that he isnt hungry exc exc. but we screwed up by NOT hireing him imo HE WAS THE BEST COACH AVA, it was all about lets get the young and hungry coach, ok tell me who that is ? because all 3 of the best fit young and hungry coaches left , alot of people are saying there NOT GOOD ENOUGH , SO TELL ME what it could have hurt to bring Fisher in and let him RUN THIS FRANCHISE FOR ATLEAST 3 YEARS ? AND GIVE THE MAN SOMETHING HE HAS NEVER HAD AND THAT WAS FULL CONTROL OVER PLAYER PERSONAL. it seems every year theres either a QB( Brees ) or coach , or even some player and we allways take the bk seat to every other team and take what garbage thats left over instead of stepping up to the plate and GETTING OUR GUY, SO AS I HAVE SAID BEFORE now ireland and Ross wants diffrent coaches , Ross needs to sell our team and go get him one in LA. because as long as he is running this franchise , AL DAVIS WILL NEVER BE DEAD.

Thank you! It amazes me that so many actually believe a word the Shefter says. "There are some people around the league that believe. . . "? He should have just said "Some people are speculating and I am going to repeat it so it sounds like information." It was just a week ago that Shefter was "reporting" that it was 80 / 20 that Fisher was going to Miami.
 
I do not agree with the statement that Schefter is usually accurate. I find him kind of weaselish. and was he not the one that had fisher all but locked to come to Miami? I may be wrong......sometimes I think these "sources" are about as legit as the janitor at the dolphins pro shop.
 
You guys are so easily fooled , wet yourself every time the media speculates or something. Fisher is going to the Rams, no he is coming to the Dolphins. Yadadda. Ross didn't become the second richest man in the NFL by being as dumb as some of you guys want to portray him to be. And Ireland is not as incompitetn as some would be lead to believe as well
