Scrimmage Report: Defense shows up, Landry stands out

BILLY TURNER also got his props.

it was reported by a couple media guy in attendance that "turner looks like he has it all figured out."

when thomas got the reps early on every one piled on turner and labeled him a two year bench warmer.

but,as i pointed out, a player getting a majority of reps in mini camps doesnt always tell the story . dallas thomas is a second year player coming off injury and they needed time and reps to see where he was at. looks promising, so far.

but turner has had a rep of catching on to the play book quick, which appears to be happening again. he isnt coming off any injury either so they pretty much knew what they had.

i still feel turner will be a monster. and if dallas thomas is a player? our guard situation goes from weakness to a strength!!

If you've got both, you're like Tom Brady w. Gronk and Welker. If you've got TWO playmaker TEs plus slot you're like Gronk, Hernandez and Welker -- man. No wonder they rolled thru the division...

We've got a good start: 1 out of 3 ain't bad, lol. Clay is ok but he's no matchup nightmare.

This statement is so false.

Which media guys? I love the Turner pick but haven't seen much talk about him from the beat reporters.

Yes, a receiver who allows you room for error with great hands and / or radius is always nice to have. A slot guy who can get inside leverage and present himself to the QB while maintaining that leverage can help Tannehill have some room for error in the middle where I think he needs that the most. It's great to have a guy like Jeffries (Chicago) on the edge too, who can win even when covered, but this is where I think it helps our QB most. We need a reliable presence in the middle. Hopefully Landry is it.
