Sean Payton Suspended For Year - Can We Finagle Brees Out of Them?

On a side note, how are we getting ripped to shreds by the media, but we haven't heard much of anything about a team purposely trying to injure people? Priorities out of whack much...?

Breaking: Jason La Canfora reporting the Dolphins are still the biggest mess of an organization. Joey Porter texts him in agreement.

Everyone should send thank you cards to the Saints because at least for one day the Dolphins bashing on ESPN and NFLN has stopped.

How is Goodell getting ridiculous? I think the punishment didn't go far enough. Williams and Peyton should both be fired. And why should we hope they don't start looking into other teams? You're saying you want teams putting a bounty on players?
Your right lets just play flag football. What the Saints did .All teams do. Whats wrong with awarding a defensive player for playing agresive. If they would have made illigal hits you might have a argument that didn't happen. This is football .Man Up

Yea we may be getting bashed left and right and some of it is justified. At least we don't spy on other teams, trip their players or put bounties on players. But those teams are "successful" so I guess it's ok.

And how does the NFL look when a QB has his neck broken, and it's directly related to the bounty program, that the NFL was negligent to investigate? Not a good look.

Damn. Thats harsh. And like hoops said, I doubt they were the only ones doing it, just the ones that got caught.

Who the hell is going to coach the Saints now that half the staff is suspended?

Carmichael did an awesome job when Peyton was out. This punishment may turn out to make the Saints even better, forcing a crappy DC to leave the team, and letting Carmichael run the offense and call the plays. Saints are looking good imo.

OMG Goodell homie don't play.

How shameful for the Saints. This has to top Spygate.

ty for sharing the news vaark

Sean Payton also loses $8M in salary. Holy ****. Wow.

Aggressive is not the same as intentionally trying to hurt people. If you can't make the distinction between those two, then that's on you. However, trying to paint what the Saints did as OK is a reflection on what kind of person you are. It is never OK to intentionally try to injure someone, ever, under any circumstances...

I guess this is exactly what's wrong with what they did. You really don't get it do you?

Yea I don't get the argument that we should just let players run wild because it's "football". There are rules to the game and clearly these guys broke the rules. Stop defending it. If you want to see guys get annihilated go watch UFC/MMA.

Carmichael or Steve Spagnulo. The Superbowl is in New Orleans next year....they should have stripped the town of the SB instead of giving Peyton a one year unpaid holiday.
