Every team wants to injure the opposition QB whether there is a "bounty" on him or not

And even if there is no "bounty" of $2,000 you can bet that player is getting a few hundred thousand $200,000 when it comes to contract time

No. Brees got the exclusive franchise tag. No one can negotiate with him. Also, I may be wrong but i think poison pills were banned with the new cba. I could be wrong on that but it wouldn't even matter. Bres is totally off limits
 
I would love for us to trade for Brees....maybe the stars are aligning after all lol

But there's 3 reasons why Id be pessimisitic it happens:

1. It would go completely against everything we are trying to do, which is rebuild the team. Of course, we did have talks with Manning, but I doubt they were serious enough to consider our team an option. I just think the FO didint try hard enough due to the direction they have planned on going.

2. The Compensation involved in a trade. He's the Saints best player, and they are going to want something big in return. It helps they lost two 2nd round picks, but rest assured they are going to ask for at least one 1st round pick.

3. Brees is a retread QB. He's already one a Superbowl and history shows retread QBs dont usually win another with a different team

Im sure the Saints were the only team running a bounty system..... haha what a joke. Goodell is ruining the NFL and as far as Brees goes.... the only thing that could make the Saints offseason worse would be to trade away the hero... hes gonna get a Manning Mega Deal. He knows it. Tom Condon knows it (drew brees and mannings agent) and the Saints know it

Do you honestly belive.That all of the teams are not doing this. Like I said if the Saints were being fined for illegal hits it would be a completely diffrent story. They are not both Farve and Warner have came out in support of the Saints no way this is not overkill. So let me get this straight If aplayer puts a qb out the game making a legal hit and your tem wins . Lets celebrate. If a player puts a qb out the game and we win but we find out he got extra money for the legal hit .Run that man out of football . Oh my bad that make perfect sense you are right.
 
I wouldn't be surprised if other teams have similar bounty programs implemented. The Saints got caught. That's the risk you take when you break the rules. Doesn't mean that they should get away with it. They knew the rules, they broke them anyway and they got caught. Now they face the consequences. Why's that so hard to understand?
