Sean Payton Suspended For Year - Can We Finagle Brees Out of Them?

Amazing that Bellichick gets nothing & Peyton gets a year?

Bellichick lost a draft picking for cheating, when he should have been suspended for a year and automatic forfeit for that game.

the superbowl and NFL draft is in new orleans this year, this **** should be interesting. goodell ain't gonna make it out alive!

I hope yall liked the probowl with players playing at half speed and every pass getting caught because no one once to get hurt.Welcome to the new NFL coming to a town near you

"I hope yall liked the probowl with players playing at half speed and every pass getting caught because no one once to get hurt.Welcome to the new NFL coming to a town near you" Exaggerate much? Yall...

ArmandoSalguero : Day's last suggestion, this one for Jeff Ireland haters: Call Roger Goodell and say Ireland has been running a bounty system last 4 years.

You hit the nail on the head . I live a hour away on the coast .People around her are going crazy

Seriously, you've already made your point in this thread. We get it. You think this punishment equates to the NFL being ruined. Paying for INJURIES and then continually LYING about it to the guys upstairs is why they got these suspensions and fines. You get jail time for that **** in the real world. It's called assault and perjury.

Saints just got bitch-slapped big time. Dont know how they are going to compete this season.

Now imagine Favre broke his neck during the whole bounty thing. He could sue the NFL for millions, since they were negligent in investigating a potential bounty program.

Bounty programs are a far greater risk to the integrity of the NFL than Spygate. That's my opinion.

My first post here.

I am surprised that no one has yet connected this situation to the existing lawsuits that the NFL is facing from former players who suffered concussions during their playing careers. Goodell isn't trying to protect the league against a potential lawsuit. He's dealing with a real lawsuit that has the potential to severely damage or even destroy his league. In these circumstances any punishment for the bounty program will have to be draconian. Otherwise it will be used as evidence in the Concussion lawsuit. Heck, even draconian punishments will be used as evidence. The plaintiff attorneys will argue that the NFL was negligent due to how long it took to deal with the problem.

Goodell is concerned about the bounty program and safety issues because the future of his league is at stake.

I'm serious. See what it would take to get him. It's probably a ridiculous amount. If it is, walk away. If not, make the deal. I better not see any objections from people who wanted to trade the entire draft for RG3, a guy who has never played a down in the NFL.

They got really hard, but I am surprised they didn't lose a 1st round pick. I know they didn't have one this year, but I'm assuming they have one for the 2013 draft.
