Serious question for the anti-Tannehill crowd

So you don't believe Tannehill is even an average qb, at this point?

I think he was average/mediocre last year.

What? It was 2 field goals and a touchdown to Clay that put us up in the first place.

The TD tied the game midway through the 4th. It was a huge play and the only reason Miami had a chance late in the game. The D then forced a punt w/ the game tied and Ryan led the O to a 3 and out and set Bal up at their 40 in great FP to take the lead which they did by a FG. The O still had more than enough time, 1:42 to play, and what does Ryan do? sets up a 57 yd FG for the tie.

You were probably 1 of those idiots that were in love with Henne too. lol

That drive was the first of the 3rd qtr, it tied the game at 13.

Trailing 23-16 midway through the 4th qtr your defense SCORED a TD to TIE the game or Miami never would have had a chance at the end of the game.

That's exactly my point. Their inconsistent play. How can you harp on a QB for inconsistent play but not the rest of the team?

I wouldn't even say he has to put a team on his back, that may be unrealistic but he has to use the talent he has and make plays in key spots, can't miss those big play opportunities. He's not far away, he has ability.

He has ability but he is as far away as our team is in actually being competitive. I'm not saying that he is a bad qb I'm only saying that he hasn't done anything for so called haters to claim that he sucks or so called homers to claim that he is on his way to being a franchise qb. He just hasn't. I think he has had an equal amount of good and bad moments.

Oh you mean after he threw a 30 yard ball to Gibson to keep the drive alive and then the offensive line let Suggs run right through? That was one of those 2 second sacks.

they stepped up in the 4th qtr, when plays were needed to be made they made them to give your team a chance. I didn't say your D was the '85 Bears but your D was a good one, a playoff caliber D w/o a doubt.

he set up a 57 yd FG when he got the ball w/ almost 2 mins to play.

He kept the drive alive with a 30+ yard pass and the offensive line let him down. You wanna keep repeating the same thing?

if that is the play I am thinking of it was a spectacular play BUT he still set up a 57 yd FG attempt.

Because the offensive line didn't give him a chance to make any plays. Even the 30+ yard pass was because he was instantly flushed out of the pocket.

make plays w/ his legs then like Geno week 1 vs. TB in a much more difficult spot. the bottom line is he set up a 57 yd FG attempt, he didn't give his team a chance.

It's funny that you bring up Baltimore because it instantly makes me think of this drive:

Code:
	C.Sturgis kicks 68 yards from MIA 35 to BLT -3. D.Thompson to BLT 20 for 23 yards (R.Stanford).	6	13
1st and 10 at BAL 20	R.Rice left tackle to BLT 24 for 4 yards (P.Wheeler).
2nd and 6 at BAL 24	R.Rice right tackle to BLT 25 for 1 yard (K.Misi).
3rd and 5 at BAL 25	(No Huddle, Shotgun) J.Flacco left tackle to BLT 39 for 14 yards (P.Wheeler).
1st and 10 at BAL 39	R.Rice up the middle to BLT 43 for 4 yards (D.Shelby).
2nd and 6 at BAL 43	(No Huddle) J.Flacco pass incomplete deep right to D.Thompson. MIA-N.Carroll was injured during the play. His return is Questionable. PENALTY on MIA-N.Carroll, Defensive Pass Interference, 38 yards, enforced at BLT 43 - No Play.
1st and 10 at MIA 19	(Shotgun) J.Flacco pass incomplete short middle to T.Smith (B.Grimes).
2nd and 10 at MIA 19	(Shotgun) J.Flacco pass incomplete deep right to T.Smith. PENALTY on MIA-B.Grimes, Defensive Pass Interference, 17 yards, enforced at MIA 19 - No Play.
1st and 2 at MIA 2	R.Rice up the middle for 2 yards, TOUCHDOWN.	12	13
	J.Tucker extra point is GOOD, Center-M.Cox, Holder-S.Koch.	13	13
 	J.Tucker kicks 65 yards from BLT 35 to MIA 0. M.Thigpen to MIA 18 for 18 yards (M.Huff).

Doesn't look like a defense keeping us in the game to me. This was when the Dolphins were ahead by a touchdown btw.

HMMM what about the pick 6 that was really the only reason we got back into the game. We have an offense that is below the league average in points scored.

Don't fret. He's an obese troll. He'll eat all day if you continue to feed him.

I am neither obese nor a troll but when you have nothing to come back at me w/ in the discussion I understand the childish name calling.

The offensive line didn't give their team a chance to win. Only reason Jets won that first game was because of a ticky tacky penalty at the end. If you're gonna be a QB that runs with the ball you can't expect the opposing team to not try to tackle you or push you out of bounds and that's exactly what TB did, pushed Geno out of bounds.

Congrats on your half assed win against a Josh Freeman led Bucs team though, Geno.

even w/o the penalty we have the ball at the TB 45 w/ time for another play or 2 to get into FG range. we got the ball at the same yd line that Ryan got it at except Geno had :34 seconds and trailed by 2, Ryan had 1:42 and trailed by 3. Ryan was an a MUCH easier spot but couldn't get the job done.

you couldn't beat TB, Tb was 0-8 at midseason when you lost to them and of course Ryan had numerous chances in the 4th qtr and the OL wasn't an issue that night.
