Maybe his lisp got int the way of what he was really trying to say...You dont take shots at a player who gets the highest defensive award in football...Maybe Shannons ethics should be in question for backing someone who got busted for roids...

I didn't hear that horse face jack*** say anything degrading about JT... He just said JT shouldn't have said anything. I felt the same way although what he said was right. I felt JT sounded bitter.

I agree. JT needed to shut up. He was worried about his personal awards while playing on a horrible team. Comes off bad.

I didnt actually listen to the feed. I cant do that from work. I went on a hunch because the thread title said "taking jabs" and most of the "jab taking" regarding this issue has been a comparison to who should have won the award

no biggie JT has a few more years in the game then off to canton

JT did nothing wrong, he said the TRUTH. People these days are afraid to speak the truth and always say " you should keep your mouth shut". Well because of JT's words people realized that it truely is garbage that Merrimen would even be nominated in the running for D-MVP, considering he tested positive for an illegal substance..

So, I'd love to hear how you'd feel if you were easily the most dominant person in your chosen field, only to have to deal with the fact that a proven cheater is so much as being considered above you for that honor. Take your time, I've got a meeting to attend.

Man I felt JT went ahead and said what everyone was too afraid to say and I applauded him for it. He took a great risk by saying anything. He risked coming off as a whiner that just wanted to win the award. But anyone that knows JT, knows that isn't him. He doesn't give a rats arse about the award. He does give a rats arse about linking professional football players and drugs. This is the guy that initially applauded Ricky's decision to retire early while he could still walk, and then completely lambasted him once he discovered the truth about Ricky's pot use.

The fact of the matter is NOBODY would talk about the big elephant in the room with Merriman's being on roids and then being considered for post-season honors. Well, it needed to be talked about. JT broke the ice at great risk to his reputation, and from then on other guys like Champ Bailey and some other players chimed right in and said the same...exact...thing.

So kudos to JT.
