Sharpe: "Dolphins' Problems on Offense Can be Laid at Tannehill's Feet"

The fact is RT has turned it over way too much.

One thing I am curious is about the lack of rollout plays.... we know that Ryan can be very good throwing on the run, because at texas A&M he did it often...so, Sherman was calling that kind of plays...

now, we don't do and we have info from the coaches that they are teaching him to stay in the pocket.... I am thinking maybe this is "all" on Philbin more than sherman? is it possible that Philbin is more involved in these decisions that we think?

about Tannehill TOs, I am not too much worried about the Int (we are throwing the ball probably too much and he is still inexperienced as a QB starter, so it ios not the end of the world, for the moment), but more about the fumbles... but I think our problems, as a a team, are way deeper...I find especially disturbing the problem with 3rd&long on Defense and the general lack of consistency...we hoped that our D could be dominant, well, that's not the case is a good unit, but, at the monent, that's it

(as usual, sorry for my sucky English)

Blame everything but the QB... that's the Finheaven way.

You could umm leave?

Also nobody is saying the qb is not at fault for certain things, but when you look at this team the qb isn't holding anything back, he's actually a bright spot on a ****ty team most of the time.

This goes back to Gruden's Qb camp. "I'm sitting here for two weeks yelling throw it Tannehill!"

The guy is slower to process a play when the primary option is not distinctly available to him. When it is available, he delivers that ball quickly. When it's not crystal clear he takes too long to adjust and process, therefore holds the ball too long as well, and gets sacked. Or he's late on throws and innacurate. ALL of us have seen those plays. Our tackles only exacerbate Tannehill's biggest weaknesses. The protection was better last year, but it will never be perfect every play.

I don't see anyone, at all, saying Tannehill is blameless. He deserves his share of blame for his mistakes.

What I do see is certain people acting as if he's completely to blame. There, those people and I will disagree.

I want the RT from last year that went games without a pick....the Fins won games during those stretches btw.

Tomorrow this is a bad defense for RT to go against.

I am thinking 3 picks and five sacks.... Bellicheck is the master of taking away that which you want to do the most.

When you pick up a 34 year old 360lb tackle that is starting a few days after he is traded for how can you blame everything on RT.
This thread is absolute bull****

He still needs to protect the ball better, move the chains on 3rd down and show overall progress.

Damn. Saw this earlier and was going to post it. Didnt think it would be posted already.

Yea, people can keep listening to wanna be scouts around here or listen to a HOF caliber WR who played in this exact offense under Sherman. Of course Sharpe had success in this offense under Sherman as just about everyone else who has been in it did.

Mike Sherman has done nothing but, win everywhere he has been with this offense. Its the thing that is proven. Ryan Runofthemill isnt. But, people can go on bashing Sherman, Philbin, Ireland, and the OL. Stay clueless.

Tyson Clabo is indeed hot garbage. No one disputes this. However the rest of the OL is doing a decent job out there. They are playing well enough to win. The problem has been Runofthemill.

We have 10 games to play. Unless Runofthemill can play well in 7 or 8 of them, we are going to need to find another QB. Thats just reality. Over a 21 game span the kid has shown he is capable of playing well and beating any team in the league. The problem is half of the time he has shown he is capable of playing so poorly we lose to teams we have no business losing to. We would be better off with an average QB who plays average game in and game out. That way you beat the teams you are good enough to beat.

However I dont want average. I want a QB who plays as well as Runofthemill does on his good days. If Runofthemill can start being consistent, we have something. He has 10 games to prove himself. The talent is there. Bash Ireland all you want, but this is a solid roster he has put together. The defense is capable, the WRs are talented, and the OL is decent outside of Clabo. Its a team that should win this division if they get good QB play.
